What will you name your future children or what have you named your children?

I want the names of my children to be Celtic or Ancient Greek because I think that this way they will carry part of their culture with their name.
More specifically if I had a son I would love to name him Hunter and for a middle name maybe Timothy in honour of my dad who died. But I also like Kieran and Ciaran and Apollo and Alexander as names.
Now for girls names I am thinking of the names of the Goddesses because it would be a way to honour them.So maybe Artemis,or Maeve or Brigid. But I also love Elisabeth,Charlotte and Lydia.
I actually love lots of names so I would like to find out your children's names.

Blessed Be
~Anna

My wife wants to name our first daughter Aurora Ann. I think it sounds like a porn star name.

Personally, I lean towards Aoife (EE-fah) or Celidghi (See-lya) for a girl. Boys? No idea, but his middle name will be Patton.

I have 2 children already. But I think if I had another girl, I would want to name her Kaitlyn Faye. Faye was my great grandmother's name.

If I were to ever have a child I think for a girl would be Lainey(a form of my middle name) Evelyn(after my mother-in-law that has passed). And I know it's gonna sound cheesy but my husband and I also love the name Piper Erin(after my sister and my husband). For a boy..Seth,Adam,Logan,or Zane.

Dylan Nicholas.
I named him Dylan from the super model kit kat commercial.
" Being a male model is very fatigue-ing" lol
And his middle name was after Nicholas cage the actor.

If I had a girl she would be

Hailey Vanessa.
I just like the name

In all my fantasies, my kids are Jordan and Michael (boys) and Lily and Begonia (Nia for short, both girls). The flower names were inspired by Harry Potter, but, I mean, really, they're just nice.

I seem to have “trouble” naming my kids. For some reason, I give them names that they will “grow into”... as in LONG names. My son for example, Zackery Michael August (named after a friend of mines 2 sons, long story; August comes from the ex and his father), and my daughter, Kaelyn Ann Marie (Kaelyn is a name that I just love, Ann and Marie are the ex's mom and my mom, and also happen to be my older sis' and my middle names). I doubt I'll have any more children, but if my SO and I do, he likes the name Amber for a girl and I like the name Cheyenne. My younger sis felt left out of the naming of Kaelyn, so maybe I'd try to work her name, Dawn, into there somewhere too. As for a boy, he'd have to have his daddy's name and I always liked the name Dylan.

I already have 2 kids.
My daughter is called Elliemay Leah and my son is Ethan Andrew. Elliemay, i liked both the names and decided to put them together, Leah is after my neice & great aunt. The name Ethan i first heard from my bf's nephew, whos called Ethan, and i loved it instantly, i also love the meaning of it. Andrew is my bf's name & the meaning goes well with the meaning of Ethan. Ethan means : Firm, strong. Andrew means : Manly, Courageous.

If i had another girl (which i'd love) then i like the names : Ebony, Demi, Phoebe.
I dont have any boys names in mind, i'm very picky when it comes to boys names.

We have 2 children already...our daughter is Reilly Deborah. Reilly was chosen because it's a celtic/irish name and my husband is irish and also because it means "valiant". Her middle name "Deborah" was chosen to honor my mom, whose name is the same.

My son is Brent Robert. Brent was chosen more by his father who just liked the name. His middle name "Robert" is his fathers middle name too.

Now....if I ever have anymore...I would like to incorporate my heritage into the mix. I am Italian.
For girls names I love Giavanni or whatever other spelling comes to mind. For boy I like Giovonni.
Other names I like that don't necessarily have to do with heritage are ...Willow (which was what we almost named our daughter), Danielle, Sean, Shawna, Lyric, Lark, ...I could go on....
I just like names that not every kid in the class will have. For example, where we live, I know maybe 1 or 2 "Brents" and no "Reillys". That is just the way I like it.

I have one child and no real desire to have any more. Her name is Morgane Alexandra (Morgane for Morgan le Fay and Alexandra because it was the only complex and under-used middle name that went with the first name we chose, I liked the meaning of the two names together and the numerology was good). If she had been a boy, my choice would have been Julien Drake (Julien for an Anne Rice character in the Mayfair Witch series and Drake because I love dragons). Had I chosen her full name (her dad picked her first name and nixed the whole Julien idea, too), it probably would have been Sienna Thorne... just because I love the way it sounds.

Those names are pretty, pawnman, but seriously....if you have to provide a pronunciation guide, they probably aren't the best idea. :) I'm imagining every teacher they ever have trying to get through their names in roll call....hehe..... not to mention the poor girl having to spell her name ever single time someone has to write it down. That's just my opinion though :).

Incidently, my son is Quintin Michael James (we thought we made it easy, but no one can spell it right).

For the next kid....it'll be Veronica Karen for a girl and Dominic or Nicholas for a boy, but we have no middle name picked out.

I was just looking up name meanings today, and found Ekaterina, and thought, that is a really cool name. Hehe.

Interestingly enough, Katrinka (the name I was looking up) is the affectionate diminuative of Ekaterina.

i'm cursed, as are my siblings, with english class names. you know when the teacher goes up to the board and makes up a sentence to diagram, it's always, "mary and chris went to the corner store to meet john." yeah, well, those are our names. not very creative huh? so, if i ever have kids, i'm going to be a bit more creative. so they won't be like me and have an average of about 5 or so others with the same name around them most of the time. ideas i currently have are:

boys: hunter, ash, river
girls: summer, rowan, tara, dawn, tempest

as you can probably see, i rather like native sounding, natural names.

the two i have are Juliet Victoria and Jakob Nathan John.

Juliet got her name because her father and i could NOT agree on any other names (i liked isabella, olivia, violet... he liked jennifer, nicole... ) so we compromised with Juliet. Victoria is because i liked the name and my dad has a thing about english royalty.

Jakob, because we both suck and couldn't think of any other boys names we liked. it's in the family somewhere (i can't remember where now), that's how he got the 'k' instead of the 'c'. Nathan is after both my dad and my best friend, who had died just a few weeks before Jake's birth. and John is after my ex's father, who is also deceased. (yeah, being in the hospital after his birth was loads of fun because they wouldn't put HIS last name on his birth card/cradle, they put MY last name... which is Jacobs... EVERYONE came in and looked at it and said 'what?? Jakob Jacobs??? you're kidding right??' lol. i had to get a special one made up for his baby album with his last name on it :))

i have no idea what i'd name any future kidlets. i'm not planning on any more, so i don't think about it much ;)

I'm due in about 7 weeks, with a girl. I love looking at all of these names. Right now my husband and I like Isabella and Paige. He's sure that once the baby is born I'll come up with a random name out of nowhere though. Everyone thinks I'm weird, but I want to wait until I meet her to pick her definite name. :)

Has anyone else been given a hard time about the names you like by family or friends? My parents don't like anything we've picked out. I have kind of dropped Zoe from our top three after being told that the name sounds like a "floor cleaner" or a stripper name. I mean, I know in the longrun the decision is mine and my husband's, but really!

my daughters name is Miranda Skye. my future daughter is Maryla Marie after my mother and my SO's mom. I have never really thought of a boy name, I knew I was having a girl the moment my ex-husband told me I had a second aura around my stomach. I had seen her in a dream when I was 11. But if I do have a boy he will probably be Leo Gene after my father and SO, since they have the same middle name.

My husband and I are TTC and I'm already going through names. Unfortunately, he isn't really keen on any of the ones I like, especially for a girl.

I really like the names Beatrice and Madeline. I try to think of names that won't be hard to pronounce, difficult to spell or be too wacky. I guess I'm just a traditionalist - or boring, depending on your POV. :D

Have any of you been to the 'bad baby name' site? It's quite funny, gives me a chuckle or two every time I visit: http://www.notwithoutmyhandbag.com/babynames/index.html

Jade was a name we toyed with - we both like it, but it sounds a little funny with our last name, which starts with a G.

I also like Willow, and was toying with it for a middle name. I figure if my parents don't like Isabella or Paige, I'm sure to hear about Willow, but who knows. It is still a name I like. :)

I like origional names. My parents gave me a really origional one, that's rare in spelling(Ghia), and I'd like my kids to have a name with power and meaning. I'm thinking for a girl, I would name her Diana, Brighid, Jade, Raven, Willow, Tarja(leadsinger of Nightwish), or Amethyst(MAYBE... and call her Amy). For a boy, I'm thinking Todd(I know it's not that meaningful but I LOVE THE NAME SO MUCH!), Soul, Blake(yet again lol) or Pan. Not as many meaningful names with boys... I think girl's names are nicer. -.<

Girls: Beverley, Michaela, Brooke or Brooklyn (for my best friend) maybe Jezabel...
Boys: Chase, Kristopher, Colton, Michael or Michal... I'm debating Jacob or Joseph (not sure which...) for my however many greats grandfather
