New Place!!

.V. and I are moving out pretty soon. (Eureka; anyone there?) I wanted to know if there are any "spells" that I could do to help protect my new home (ok, apartment) from... well, about everything from arson to zapping. Just a general idea would be nice.

Oh, and here's a piece of info! If you make a cross (equal sided) from Yucca fibers, it is supposed to help protect your vehical from accidents. Hang it on the rear-view mirror. *13* and I made one for Ty-ty to protect his truck.

That's exciting, moving to a new place! I hope everything goes smoothly and that you enjoy it.

I just read on your profile that you are interested in herbology- maybe making an herb satchel to protect your home would suit you. I've noticed that many pagans (including me) develop their own herbal correspondances, so the herbs I consider to be for protection might not suit you for protection. I might use a combination of 3 herbs- bay leaves, peppermint, and rosemary are a combination I've used before. You can place the herbs on the center of the cloth square and then gather all four corners and sides, then tie it off with a cord or yarn. There are tons of ways to make a satchel, you probably already know of a technique. This one is a pretty simple way.
You could even create a ritual, using the satchel making as the focus. Maybe you could burn some incense and an appropriate candle, meditate, focus on charging your herbs with the proper energies (if you incorporate that into your practise), say aloud that you are creating a ring of protection around your home, etc. Lots of things you could do! I hope that gives you some ideas. I wish you well and hope you will be happy in your new place.
