well, my cat has gained an affinity for sleeping on my altar lately. unfortunately she knocked my wand off of my altar. this would not haev been a problem if i hadn't walked into my room adn stepped on it, breaking it in half...

sometimes i want to kill that cat.

Perhaps....

This wand wasn't completely suited to you? ...AND now you can replace it with one even better, perhaps?

Iora... (one who doesn't believe in coincidences and is trying to help you look at the bright side. ;) )

Perhaps that's the only place in your house you've kept sacred and that's what your cat wants. Perhaps you should try expanding your magickal consciousness and not have it just at the alter. just a thought.

As someone whose kitten is reaching the rambunctious phase (to put it lightly), I can sympathize with this!

To echo what someone else said, your cat probably isattracted to sacred space. Is there a place your cat likes to sleep? Maybe if you bless or cleanse that area she might spend a bit more time there...

Especially the ones who know just how cute they are ... THEN they can be bad and all they have to do is turn on the kitty-charm and you forget why you are mad at them .... Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeevvvvvvvvvvvvvvvviiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiilllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll!!!! :deviltail

the only other place she seems to like is the edge of the bathtub...which is odd because she hates water like every other normal cat.

Well, I think you know what to do now. I don't think your cat is trying to ruin your space, I think the cat wants more spiritual space. I would be nice if you can expand it to an entire room. Or maybe the cat is simply saying that it wants you to do a ritual without extra fluff. Who knows?

maybe i should bless my chair next to my bed, then maybe she wouldn't knock things over all the time!

My mob have pretty much "claimed" my altar for their purposes.......they allow me to use it for rituals, but otherwise it's their space. But yes...cats are very sensitive to energies and have a real affinity for the energy involved in a sacred space (or a blessed and consecrated altar......) or the top of the computer....;) You haven't lived until you've watched a 12 pound cat attempt to curl up to fit into an abalone shell full of moon charged amethyst crystals...;)
As to the wand...perhaps it is just time for a new one. Be on the lookout for a likely candidate. When I finally got my willow wand made, well...the dog kinda chewed up the old one........so cats aren't the only critters that make our lives "interesting"....

While it royally blows, i'd have to agree wit hother posters. There are no coincidences. Get a better one for you evnnif it a stick from your backyard.

Sorry though. That really does suck. You always try to be so careful with those types of things.
