@&#%$@!!!
Some f***ing idiot(s) have been amusing themselves by
pulling the fire alarm in the building....setting it off approximately
every hour since 6:30 PM yesterday evening, and the bell just
shut off 10 minutes ago...preventing people from getting a
good nights sleep....I'm looking like this right now....:ahhhh:

Where I come from you get fined $500.00 for that! For each pull! I hope they figure out who it is and... well. You know.
Hang in there, Mystique!

Mystique, this is pathetic. I'm so sorry you have to experience this. I've read about your troubles with the people in your building in the past. Is there absolutely NO way you and your partner can move somewhere else? :( :(

It had happened at one building we used to live in. The hard part was all the elderly & disabled people had to use the stairs each time. Those stupid people that pulled the alarm probably thought it was funny but never thought of the consequences. Stupid people!

The Jim Green Bldg. is for hard-to-house people, and we are
lucky to have these apartments.
Ariel & I have tried to find other places, but were turned away.
In British Columbia, it is legal to deny transsexuals housing,
employment, education, and access to public services...and
Campbell/LIEberals have publicly stated that transsexuals are
not entitled to the same rights as other people because we are
an affront to "god" and "christian values"; and now that they
(Campbell, et al) have essentially dismantled the British Columbia
Human Rights Commission....well, you get the idea.
I would say more, but won't, lest I be accused of "bashing." :G
Ariel here,Sabrinas other of passing significance-I'm supposed to tell ya why we're stuck in this quagmire of a corner of the largest
concentration of off reservation first nations-people with disabilitys-and the ancients.Eastside Vancouver has lowest per-
capita income in Canada. The average in housing is10x12 with a
sink dripping rust in one corner.No-one who could get out stays.
The reason for this "stucktitude"varies, but the bottom line is that
any place over $325 is out of reach and landlords and their managers just plain don't sign the "intent to rent"form that let us
rent anywhere else but down here.On these streets the most common litter after cigarette butts is syringes followed by condoms. The only growth industrys are drug dealing and prostitution,Both of us would move upcountry and live in a shack
if we could. But rural rental property is rarer than trans women with jobs.No-one cares about the discrimination, after all we are only one in 35000,so who's to give a hoot. It's truth what she says
about goverment itself pandering to the masses who see us as
freaks.Your own Ontario government closed down the portion of the Clarke Institute that provided services to transsexuals and has de-listed surgery. Our BC government is about to do the same
Me,I'm thinking of getting out by spring by going bushbaby again.
Living in the backcountry's fine if you can fish, forage, hunt, and find
enough for an occasional sack of brown rice.Rant-rant rant and back to Mystique---

I think that rant was warranted. I hope it made you feel a li'l better to get it off your chest, and I wish I could help you and Ariel :(
