Psi Vampire Question

very interesting question.. the energy that a psi vamp feeds on comes from the living.. the 'life force' so i would have to say whilst they could probably draw energy from an inanimate object it isnt what they want and thrive on..
where they take their energy from would also depend of the kind of psi vamp they are..
if you decide to look into it more online be careful as some psi vamps use their web sites as a way of connecting to people.. found that one out the hard way lol fortunately i picked up on it quickly before any damage was done.. just make sure that you protect yourself before embarking on any research on the subject.. better to be safe then sorry..

I had another one that was real informative but it seems to have disappeared into the world of BT Yahoo and I can't find it. I had never heard the term before until a couple of years ago. There was a guy that after being around him for a few minutes you felt absolutely drained and someone called him that. So I got to looking into it. I have come into contact with many people that had that kind of effect on me all my life but never gave it any thought until I started researching it. Try going to Google and putting Psychic vampires or psychic vampirism. You can probably find a lot of info about it and how to combat it that way.

As Morrigan pointed out, do be careful though. Some sites want you to email for specific info, then they want to start having converstaions with you without really telling you anything. Stay away from those.

Think of it this way. You're in a house and you feel a really good or negative engery radiating from the house. Taking energy from that house would be easy. It's not a great sorce of energy but it's energy.

Luckily I was drawn here by chance. I am a psy vamp and Often I will feed from the personal energy left behind in personal items such as jewelry. I try to stay away from items that have been handled by lots of people such as coins. I find that the energy in these items is often stagnant and full of taints.

I think getting vibes or energy from personal items is called Psychometry. So.. I think it's interesting that there is a different level of energy coming from a object then that of a person. I was at the bookstore today and found a book on Psychic Vampires, published by Llewlyn I think the author's name was Booth with a PhD. He make some very interesting points for example..he talks about biblical figures like Solomon, when his hair was cut..he was destroyed and lost his power. In the new testiment when the women with the issue of blood reached out to the Christ to "touch" his garment..energy departed from Christ.

I have no problem with psi vampires that take energy from an inanimate object as i used to do it myself but those who would steal the energy of a living creature should be incarcerated. I'm not taking a dig at anybody but there are better ways of gaining energy.

I dont consider myself a vampire by any means. Im an empath, however. that's exhausting enough. and utterly unintentional. but, a post in here reminded me: the energy feed during sex is beyond amazing. I suppose everyone feeds off that one, weither theyd like to or not.

but, the original question. I dont see why you cant feed off inanimate objects. crystals give off energy, and if you can get to it, why cant you feed off of it? energy is energy, is it not? I could be wrong- correct me if so.

Psi-vamps as a general rule are very empathic. Actual psychic abilities vary widly.
And no that would not necessarily make you one. Energy exchange happens normally between all people and non-vamp empaths are plentiful. What makes a psi-vamp is the one-sided nature of the exchange.
Unawakened psi-vamps are usually plagued with personal problems due to the ignorance of what they are and how they can affect people.

I've read (I think I got this from The Psychic Vampire Codex) that little kids give off a lot of energy, but it can also be drained out of them really afst. So just be careful not to take too much of it :)

I can confirm that kids give off alot of energy, especially teenagers. I think most psi vampires are just empaths who cannot control their powers. I have yet to meet a psi vampire who is in total control.

totally agreeing with you! its hard to control whether your feeding or just feeling. its weird and really hard. especially if you've just discovered this gift/burden. though meditation does help. i also find that i feel everyone elses emotions more than my own, so meditating helps improve that.

I've also found that just being awakened makes a world of difference. One starts to be able to see what one is doing and back off appropriately.

To answer the quote, without requoting it. It doesn't necessary mean you are, it could simply be that your senstive to the flow of energy around you. As far as the inmate object question I would have to answer yes and no. It'll work if your in sitution that you really need the energy but are reluctant to feed. That being said it is not a replacement, like some one else chewing gum is a good example of how it works. It will make you feel like your less hungery but, it would hold you over indefintly.
