There are some good blessings/prayers in the back of Galen Gillotte's Book of Hours that I used to use from time to time. If I remember correctly, her prayers for just before bed and for getting out of bed were very sweet...something like...oh well, I can't remember...let me grab the book!

Silver lady of the moon,
Bless me as this new day blooms
Now that the night is done.

I always thought that one was a very nice way to start the day.

I just thank for guidance I have recieved and may I recieve it tomorow. Not very poetic but it works.

I chant the name Kuan Yin throughout the day for peace, or when I am feeling yucky and being snarky to those around me. I usually say a little prayer to Amaterasu upon rising. I do other stuff throughout the day like pray, chant etc, but the two I mentioned are done every single day.

Usually I thank the Goddess for her guidance, protection and ask that she direct me in the manner that she sees best.

This is the first entry in my LJ, one of the best prayers/blessings i've written. I've been a bit lazy spiritually this year, which i'm trying to fix. Inspiration hits me every so often, and prayers/blessings like this one usually turn up.
