There was some site that I came accross perhaps two or three years ago, called something like "The Signal Oak" or "The Gnarled Oak"...The Something Oak, that's about all I remember. It was a very traditional, non-Wicca, earth sort of paganism site. Talked a lot about celebrating the seasons (though didn't necessarily talk about the Sabbats, as I recall) and a lot about being a steward of the land. I can't seem to find this site anymore. Does anybody know of this site or know if it still exists?

well, there is this www.ytown.com/oak/bos.shtml which is a site (though the address doesn't indicate it) called Enchanted Oak.

Hmm...yeah, that's not it. Thank you anyway, though!

It could be Scaresprite (http://www.thecrookedheath.com/elder/hallpage.htm), which I think used to be under another name that had Oak in it. I could be wrong on that, but it's still a pretty good site. It talks about land stewardship, even brings up the housle and some other cunning folk traditions.

Try doing google search by clicking on "I'm feeling Lucky" button.
Worth a shot.

Thanks all:) The Scaresprite site is another really good one along the same lines that I came across around the same time as this one...I don't think that they're the same, though. It might have been called "The Shrub Oak"...I really ought to know since I was on their mailing list for a while...but I don't. Sad. a yahoo group, I think.
