wow, so much going on at once! Im already 30 % effaced and im only 35 wks along. He just keeps pushing down and it hurts. I dont want him to come out yet! Im so worried about his health and lungs not being formed, up to weight ect. My ob doc told me to stay calm, dont stress out and keep my activities to a min. No vacumming, sex, lifting, ect. Well its not that easy im a stay at home mom and i have a 20 month old to take care of, and a house to keep clean.
My hubby helps out but only some, hes gone most of the time at work. So how am i not suppost to be stressed??
Im so scared, with my daughter i was induced so i dont know what labor is. She asked if i felt tightening, or back ache. Yes i told her well thats a contraction, i didnt even know i thought it was just cramps from him.
God im freeken out..........i so want my baby to be healthy and he wants out, pushs almost every hr for the past 3 days now. And to top it off i have a bladder infection too...i pray it will be okay in the end..
Any help, suggestions would be great right now.

who the hell doesnt have backache at the end of their pregnancy?? lol is it rhythmically painful or constant achey? braxton hicks contractions are felt as a tightening of your uterus. your whole belly tightens right up and when u are 35 weeks, its so intense it leaves you breathless. braxton hicks can come as early as your fourth month and do not mean early labour. i am not seeing anything that indicates early labour is imminent in your post. has your mucus plug fallen out yet? is there any bleeding?
i know everyone says it, but do try not to worry. at 35 weeks your baby is well developed, and tho he does need some more time in there, he will be fine if he is born early at this point. hire a preteen kid to come in a play with your 20 month old. they are cheaper than babysitting and appreciate the reference for when they are old enough to babysit. leave the housework - it doesnt matter and you can always get friends or family to help (or that preteen kid for a couple bucks an hour).

Hon be calm. I had all my kids between 35 weeks and 36 weeks. They all we're fine. They ranged from 5 pounds to 8 lbs, (5 kids in total). As long as its past 26 weeks the odd are that everything will be fine. 36 weeks is full term. Those last couple of weeks is weight gain for baby. At 35 weeks everything should be developed just fine. Not all babies go the hole 40 weeks and in my family none of the woman carry that long. Plus you would be surprised how long you can go even with labor close to coming. I was dialated 4 cen for the last 4 weeks with my son and 5 cen dialated during the last 2 weeks. I had a 2 year old at home and my SO was working so I took care of the 2 year old and all the housework with being dialated that far and at 36 weeks I had a 6.5 pound baby boy!!!

:hugz: You and your baby will be fine. I was 50% effaced for the last 3-4 weeks of my last pregnancy. Are you dialated any? Take it as easy as you can, I agree, ask family for help if you need it.

With my first son I was about 30-50% effaced for the last month or so of the pregnancy, and I was about 2 cm dialated for a few weeks. He ended up being a week overdue. Effacment and painful contractions don't necessarily mean labor. Effacement happens very slowly and gradually in some cases. I have a friend who just had her baby yesterday who has been 80% effaced and 3 cm dialated for the past two weeks. She'd been having contractions off and on for a month! I had horrible braxton hicks for weeks on end with both my sons. You always hear that braxton hicks contractions don't hurt, but mine were awful...I couldn't even breath. So there is a really good chance that you're not in labor at all, your body is just getting ready like it should.
Even if you are in labor, I have friends who have given birth as early as 30 weeks and their babies are absolutely fine. Remember...36 weeks is even considered term for twins (by most doctors anyway)...just think of that. I'm sure your baby will be fine. :)
:hugz: :hugz: :hugz: Try not to worry, I know it's hard not to, but just try. :)

Ahhh i feel so much better, thank you all:)
I dont know much about all of this, with my daughter i didnt feel any of this and never had labor pains, ect. All of your stories and advice helped me Alot!! I dont know many people especially people who have kids so i dont get that advice. Ill try to stay calm and just take it as it comes, now that i know he'll be okay if hes early. My ob doc dosent talk much or say anything like what you all have said. I wish she had i would have felt alot better when i left. They always say just the min, so buisy im sure.
I hope my little one says in for at least one more wk, than ill feel much better about all of this. So strange how this time around its completely different.
Thanks again for releiving my stressed mind.....
**HUGS**
Merry Blessings

With each of my 5 kids, no 2 pregnancies were alike!!! None of their births were the same either!!
The only common denominators I could find is that the boys were harder pregnancies but easier births and the girls were easier pregnancies but harder births. Other than that, each one threw surprises and taught me something new along the way!! :)

its too late for this go around, but midwives will schedule as much time as you need - usually an hour for your intial visit and 1/2 hour for each prenatal visit after that if you need it. you wont leave the office with questions and they usually dont talk over your head. so if u do decide to have another baby....u might consider it. :) please keep us posted at least weekly as we are now wondering if your lil one is holding on in there!

It hard not to worry isn't it. I was "ready to go" according to my Ob form about 26 weeks with my 2nd but i ended up being induced at41 weeks. SO your baby wil onlyl come when he is ready. Have you tried cranberry juice fo ryour infection, i find that drinking a couple of litres of that cleared min eup during pregancy.
PEaceful thoughts for you

already being at 35 weeks, i'm sure no matter what happens from here it'll be fine. if it were a month earlier, i'd be slightly worried... but calm down if you can.

2nd baby right?
Honestly, I would only wait until they were 15 minutes apart. My 2nd one came so quick I went from 5 cm to 10 cm and ready to push in 10 minutes.
