You have pangs *contractions) and your water breaks.

you go to the hospital.....and a baby pops out.... :)

Ok, lets see if I remember....first you feel contractions and my doc said to go to the hospital when they are 5 minutes apart for 2 hours. Walking around helps.

Then your cervics dialates when it gets to 10 centimeters you start to feel the urge to push, like having a BM.

At some point your water breaks, or the nurse can help it break, it's up to you. I had mine broken.

You push and a baby should pop out if all goes well.

Be prepared to have alot of people put their hand (the entire hand!) up your woo-whoo! After the first three nurses did, I stoped caring.

Are you nervous? The good news is that after a while you will forget how much pain you were in. There are lots of great books that I think you should get your hands on. One that a lot of people like ( a lot of people don't like it to to be fair) is What to expect while you are expecting. I think you should check that out or another book that has well rounded complete information on pregnancy.

Here are a few websites that you can check out too.

Get a book about pregnancy and labour, or at least look up a few websites.

Educate yourself otherwise you won't understand what is happening, which will increase your fear, and therefore your chances of having a negative experience.

Read as much as you can, now. You're going to need that information.

i second that! u need to pick up a book on this to be well prepared. it will be less painful if u know what is happening and how to relax to let it happen. do a general search on "bradley childbirth method" and it should give some basic information.
