I want to put my home into the festive mood. For Samhain, I had my home smelling like pumpkin spice. I want my home to smell like Yule. What smells do you like in your home this time of the year?

I love those smells. Is there a certain arrangment that you do with those scents? Or do you get the potporri, candles?

Right after, I posted this thread, my mom got me these pine cones with some waxy looking that stuff that smells as of cloves. Now my dining room smells of cloves.

Well, being the lazy & non-artsy-craftsy kind, I usually do potpourri &/or candles, but I love the smell of fresh evergreen swags & apple or orange pomanders---basically you just coat the apples & oranges with cloves & cinnamon & hang them up. They smell soooooooo good. Or make dried apple garlands with dried apple slices & cinnamon sticks on string. I've seen instructions in magazines on making bayberry or pepperberry wreaths. A lot of your Martha-Stewarty/House-&-Gardeny magazines have instructions for good-smelling all natural herbal topiaries & wreaths & swags.
