Oh my, that would take a great deal of time wouldn't it?
I can't say that I put them back in order, no...I do however, make sure that they are all "right side up"...or all facing one direction...that way if and when a card comes out up-side down, i know there's a deffinate message being brought through. (if that makes sense)

I never do. I just shuffle them thoroughly to cleanse the energy of the last reading, before putting them back in the bag/box/cloth. I also make sure they're all right side up, too.
Some people say you should periodically put the cards back in the original order, but I have never felt the need to do that.

I rarely put them back in order. I like them being out of order...it seems to my mind that the chances of different readings would be greater.

i used to, but i don't anymore, mainly because i think tarot has a lot to do with fate, so the order i put the cards in now may be helpful for a future reading. of course, sometime i do put them back in order, when i am showing them to people, but again, those times help get the cards in order for my next readings...

I never put them back in order, and I don't even turn them all to face one way. They sort themselves out, as they will.

Me neither.. I have read about people who put their cards in order at the end of each reading but it is very difficult to randomize them again for the next reading.. I mean, I'd develop lots of doubts if 3,4 and 5 of pentacles all appeared in the next reading. Invariably, I would blame it on improper shuffling.. I cleanse my cards with white light after each reading, and lightly shuffle them.

well i don't 'read' with them, but i use them alot. and no, i would never do that. i want them as random as they can be. if i need a specific card i can find it easily enough.

how many of you put your cards back in order when your done reading?
Good question!
I just did this a few days ago when I "brought out" an old Tarot deck which I'd not used in months. I wanted to "remove the 'bad' and 'excess energy'" which was certainly upon the cards, but I didn't feel that I had to, say, "consecrate" the Tarot deck, as I would when opening a brand new deck, or if . . . "something else" might have happened to make me think that they "needed" that ritual.
I performed the LBRP (but that's just "me;" you, in order to "cleanse your magickial area," might begin w/a ritual bath, or "smudge" the room; or "walk in a counter-clockwise circle" or . . . any number of different "techniques!"
I put the the Major Keys in order (#0/The Fool on the "bottom" where I could "see" the Key; #21/The World on"top"), and, then I followed w/the Minor Arcana, w/the Pentacles on the "bottom," followed by the Swords, then the Wands and, lastly, the Cups.
I placed them in the center of my alter, which in turn was placed in the center of my "room," then, I invoked certain "god names," &c., and, w/my arms crossed and my fists closed--tightly--I held them over the Tarot cards, and, in a "quick, releasing motion," I thrusted my arms to my sides!
You'll find other "techniques," I sure, here at MWs, as well as elsewhere "along the highway . . ."
Slainte', to you!

I don't usually put them back in order for every reading, but sometimes when I'm bored I will...
