I just bought my first tarot deck. I was at Barnes and Nobles and just kept getting drawn to a certain deck so i bought it. Now I have no idea what to do with it lol. Could anyone give me an idea of how to get started?

That is a popular"taboo" blood raven, and for some people it makes all the difference in the world. Personaly, I have always had better experiences with the cards I bought for myself...for the simple reason that I like them better, (hense the reason I bought them :) )
The deck someone else bought me is god-ugly, and horribly crowded, so much so that I absolutely loathe reading with them.
Its all personal prefference really...Buy them yourself, or get as a gift...The fact is, they are cards...they dont know the difference.

play with your card! look at your cards! get familiar with them!

I got the Universal Waite deck. Ive been doing some reading up on tarot and what do i do if i dont agree with what books say about a card? Ive had some totaly different ideas about whats going on in a card than what the book says... is that wrong?

Rua it is your intution you need to follow when reading tarot cards do not get hooked on book meanings follow the meaning that feels right to you. What are your first impressions of yoru cards? Write them down and start a journal...if you need any more hlep you can connact me on yahoo ok?
