As a whole, perhaps, but it all depends on the way you celebrate it. Like all holidays, it is what you make it!

I prefer to think of it as Christians celebrating Yule. (j/k)

"This fog's as thick as peanut butter!"
"You mean pea soup."
"You eat what you like, and I'll eat what I like!"

Celebrating the good things in life is hardly ironic. When I choose to celebrate a holiday the rest of my family and friends recognize, it doesn't mean I'm abandoning my beliefs or standards. It means I'm respecting what others choose to believe and remembering the important thing is not that it's Christmas, but that we are together and healthy and here. Who cares what people call it? I'm happy I have people to care for and care for me. They don't pressure me to give up my faith and I won't do the same to them.

I haven't been Pagan my entire life, and I certainly wasn't going to give up such a wonderful and loving time with my family simply because my religion doesn't celebrate it. How close minded would that be? Not to mention, I don't think any kid should grow up without Santa. :D
Christmas would still be Christmas without the presents. It's what's in your heart that matters.

Why not? Christians celebrate Halloween, Valentine's Day, and many others. It's all relative. Don't be a hater. :) :hugz:

I have grown up pagan and we always celebrated Christmas. But with our own pagan touch of course. I celebrate Christmas because I have children and I just can't imagine not going through some of my favorite Christmas rituals with my babies. In my house christmas is all about Santa and the spirit of winter. That is just how I like it.

Don't know about "pegans".
I celebrate both xmas and Yule!
It's all how you do it that counts! :hehehe:

I plan on celebrating both as well. One of the things I like about being pagan is that it's not mutually exclusive, we can celebrate Christmas because Jesus was a groovy guy and not give up anything from our own beliefs. Plus I can celebrate Yule here and then celebrate Christmas at my moms. It's not really that big of a deal.

ok, heres my take..

my beliefs include honoring Jesus's life and the lessons it taught us. so its natural for me celebrate his birth. So i get 2 holiays in Dec. i'm not complaining.

Pagan to me is an ability to believe what I believe without being judged or told i'm not right.
