I can't stand to sit here for very long so pleasae don't think me rude for keepping this short. 2 days ago I twisted my neck/shoulder. Ibuprophin quit working yesterday, I've got 2 pain pills left - been taking them about every 2 hours so I'm almost out. Hubby recently laid off from work so no health insurance. Right now we simply don't have the money for me to go the doctor, like we've got about $20 to our name. I need to borrow a spell for pain or endurance if anyone has got one. I know it won't "fix" me, but I was laying in bed a few minutes ago and it dawned on me that it sure couldn't hurt. So, please -if you could post one, I would appreciate very very much. This is really excruciating. Thaank you.

and comfort.............. gently apply heat if you are past the point where it will increase the swelling,( about two days ) and a warm oil rub will help as well with Rosemary and Thyme will help and be very soothing.......
Chamomile tea is very relaxing as is Valerian .......if you have herbs for that purpose ........ if not the kitchen spice cabinet herbs in a steaming infusion on the sink can be helpful too and then just dip a compress ( washcloth or clean soft material) be careful it isnt too hot and apply ...... warm wet compresses can draw out the pain , bring increased blood flow to the area and be very soothing.
Be absolutely sure you arent allergic to any herb prior to taking.......
Rest and lots of fluids........
Love and relief from distress

A buddy of mine swears that lavender oil will cure about anything. If you have some on hand, it'd be worth a try.

Take a quartz crystal. Hold it over the affected area (touching the skin; as much contact between stone & self as possible). Say aloud 'By the Universal Law of Correspondence, let the crystal energy take the pain, suffering, illness, injury, infection (you get the idea-state what's appropriate) from my body, & send it into the Universe, where it will be cleansed to harm none.'

Also see Practical Rune Magic II in this forum.

Hope you feel better soon.

Here's a really simple inexpensive treatment you can try.

1 tablespoon of ground cayenne pepper
1/4 cup of grated beeswax
1 cup olive oil

Melt beeswax & oil together over a hot water bath. Stir in cayenne pepper. Let cool into a salve & massage on the areas that hurt. Make SURE you don't get any of that in your eyes & mouth. Don't use on kids.

First do a patch test on your forearm to make sure you're not allergic to anything used. Leave on 24 hours & if you have no reaction, it's ok to use.

Other herbs you can infuse in the oil are arnica & comfrey roots. But these will take time to infuse in the oil. The cayenne salve will give you a relatively quick & inexpensive fix.

Hope you feel better soon! I'll light some healing incense for you tonight.

Thank you all so much for the herbal remedies. I'm going to try some today. I hate taking pain pills and muscle relaxers because of the random drug testing issue. Hubby will have to go to the store to buy some of the herbs. I have been wanting to start my "witch's cupboard" for some time. I would have preferred a different kind of "kicking into gear" but this shoulder definately did the trick. Thanks to all who lit candles and sent positive energy - I have felt a slight improvement, I believe it has made a difference. And again thank you for the herbals. I'll let you know their effects so you can note it in your Books of Shadows.
