You know that light as a feather stiff as a board thing really works. I've never done it to someone but I've had it done on me and I was quite amazed. I was only in 2nd grade and my aunt and her cousin did it to me. There's many ways to do it, like if you choose to use candles or whatever. However, there are magicians who levitate just for show. Levitation itself is really just a trick that anyone can do if they really want to. I don't really consider it "magick" at all. It is fun though.
The other night though, I was taking a ritual bath and I was listening to Led Zepplin. Everyone knows Jimmy Paige was into the Occult....I layed down in the bathtub to get the suds out of my hair and all of a sudden my body started floating out of the water! It was the coolest thing ever! I didn't concentrate or anything....it was really weird...
But anyway, the light as a feather thing...works....

Just to clarify: are you referring to the physical sensation of being 'lifted' or 'levitated', or are you referring to actual floating-over-the-ground levitation? If it's the latter, I beleive (according to the laws of physics anyway) that it's probably not possible--at least, not without the influence of an outside force.

I heard somewhere about the light as a feather spell, is actually something that can be learned in college or something....about the law of physics or whatever....and as for magicians like David Blane (I think that's his name) it's actually the same thing. It's not actually Magick...since I don't know much about the law of physics I really can't explain how it's done. As for the thing with me levitating out of my bathtub....I have NO CLUE how that happened especially cuz I wasn't even thinking about it.....I was meditating at the time and maybe it was an out of body experience or something.....

I've come to believe that anything is possible, from my own experiences thus far. But whether a levitation spell can ever be truly physical or not (besides the light as a feather) doesn't really make a difference to me. Maybe a camera would show someone still being on the ground, but perhaps they're not (just their mirror image or something perhaps). And Out of Body Experiences are just as real as actually floating!

In order to levitate you have to do it with others ?
I mean, can you do it by yourself, alone ?

practice, find the types of yoga that cause/are associated with the manifestation of siddhis and start doing those forms of yoga (dont ask for links, search the site, or google the terms yoga+levitation, yoga+siddhis, and siddhis).

I asked that in another thread, I think. :farmerjoe And I think it's pretty obvious...
@subzero: Levitation comes with grand mastery... we're talking extremely powerful and advanced techniques. These are usually associated with meditation. From the looks of it, you're not there - so there's really no advice I can give. If your sole goal in life is to leviate like David Blane, then I suggest you:
i) go see a phsyciatrist
ii) go to church/temple
iii) look into Eastern practises involving self-control, specifically ... yoga
iv) think abouw what you are doing
v) grow up
That's all :)
