My only hope is that like the great Pheonix, out of the ashes of this great atroicity some good can come. For all those whos lives have been lost I pray that the energy that was them is now reunited with the great sourse and that they have now found peace in the arms of the Divine. Yesterday, I thought it was important for Alissa to see the tragedy on television. At first she was scared that the fire would get us, so I took out a map and showed her where California was and where the East Coast was. After thinking about it for a few minutes she said "But Mommy, they're on planes, so they can go wherever they want right?", this floored me, that a child so young, so innocent, could voice all of our fears with one simple statement. At play time yesterday at Kindergarten, Alissa built a tower out of blocks. When her teacher asked what she was building she said she was building a tower that was fire proof so the people wouldn't get hurt. Her teacher told me it would have blown my mind to have seen it, it blew my mind to hear it, and to see her sad face as she told me how sad she was for the people and asked if we would see them someday in heaven. My point isn't that Alissa is a caring child, but that I hear so many people crying war and let's get them. Who's them? We still don't know, but for every child across the world like Alissa I hope "them" is an isolated group of people. I hope we as a nation aren't overly zealous in our retaliation for this tragedy. My hope is that the children do not suffer for our errors as mankind. Now if I have offended anyone I am sorry, my views may not be pc as a gung ho American, they are my views as a parent. When Alissa tells me she's scared, and asks if we're safe I can't help but wonder what another child is saying on the other end of the world to their mother. I am lucky, I have never before had to look at my child to reassure her that she was safe in her own home, last night I realized how lucky I have been. We can learn a lot from our children.

The Shield of Isis


The Shield of Isis is a simple, fast invocation to call
upon the
protection of Isis.
It is very specific in its use, and very potent in its
results. Here's
how to use it.

When confronted with a fearful situation, say to yourself
"I need the Shield of Isis".

A fearful situation can be anything that causes you
legitimate anxiety
at that moment; this is NOT a general protection rite. It
is intended
for emergencies or situations that seem potentially
dangerous. It is
also acceptable to use it in situations where you feel as
if your
environment is out of control, or that the energy or "vibe"
is just
not good.

After you have said the words "I need the Shield of Isis",
if the
shield is truly necessary, you will feel that it has
"clicked in".
>From that moment on, be very alert to your inner voice. You
may
receive a clear instruction, such as "Before entering the
intersection, look both ways" or something equally mundane.
Listen and
ACT on the information you are given.

When the dangerous situation or fearful feeling has passed,
say "Thank
you." out loud.

This seems simple, but it is very, very powerful.

Please help all the people in pain and tumoil. Especially those who have lost loved ones and the rescue workers. A special prayer for my dear friend Sharon and her husband and thier four children. Her husband will be sent to war and leave his family behind. Please help her be strong, as well as all the other women and men who will be lef behind while thier spouses, parents, family and friends are sent to battle evil. Keep them safe and strong. And bring them home soon.

Guess I'm a little paranoid and sensitive these days. With everyone going back and forth with each other I worried that it was happening in this forum. Whew... Sorry for the misunderstanding.:eek: :D

On that terrible day, September 11th, my immediate response was as it always is whenever someone has died; light a blue candle and ask Goddess to help the souls of the deceased to find their way into her arms.
:mad: But I also performed another spell, a combination of spells written by Z. Budapest & D.J. Conway. I sliced an apple, laid it on the altar, lit candles & prayed to Nemesis. I asked her to look for and find those responsible for the murder of thousands of innocents. I did not name names. I asked her to haunt them, letting them have no peace, no rest, no comfort until they are found and brought to justice; to make their families turn away from them, make them hated in their own lands, leave them with with no place to turn for succor.
I have repeated this prayer for the past several days, as I pass the altar I set up for Nemesis. Perhaps, in my own small way, I have helped nudge the scales of justice toward balance. If you feel the way I do, and wish to see justice done, you could add your voice to mine.

Please be careful what you ask for it would saden me

it may better to ask that they come to feel the weight
of the pain they have caused,that their families help
