Be careful that you don't dehydrate. Not only is it bad for you and baby, but it will cause even more contractions. Chamomile tea is supposed to be a stomach soother, also.

I hope you get feeling better. :)

I second what london said - in fact the dehydration might be CAUSING the contractions. Try drinking gatorade.

Usually you are only nauseus at transition. I think she probably has a stomach bug. Especially since prelabor digestive symptoms are usually infamous for the trots, not nausea.

i'll try gatorade, see if that works. I have gone to the bathroom(#2) non stop the last 2 days, there cant be much left in me. I read in my book thats normal, cleans out your system and gets you ready. Besides the food i feel fine, usually when im sick i know it.
This is way diff than having the flu.
I was able to keep some crackers down, been an hr or so since i had some and theyve stayed down. Little sips of water are ok, just not too much.

Ill find out more tomorrow at my apt...
Thanks for your input :)

Well then, you've had the trots and are contracting it sounds like labor is in your immediate future. Make sure they know how dehydrated you are...

Good luck and a smooth swift labor to you!

Ask your dr for promethizine pills I had morning sickness for 9 months with each boy so badly that was all that kept me out of the hospital.

I was sick for my youngest for the whole pregnancy. Nothing helped me except pure Cola Syrup. Any drug store has it and it is completely safe for you and the baby. Good Luck and I hope you feel better soon. _happydanc

Well im getting there, im 3 cm dial and 75% effaced:)
He gave me a perscription for nasia, although he said its a hormonal release, your body does before active labor. He cant stop it but it will help keep food and liquids down. I was able to eat a little yest, and didnt puke it back up. He thinks hell be coming before next wk,
Theres not much of my cervix left to thin out. So now we wait, there alot stronger today, so now they have to get regular and than we start counting:)

He was so quick about it all, but im sure they have alot of people to see, his heartrate is good, so i know hes okay:)
Im especially happy because if he is born before the 22nd hell be a sagittarius instead of a capricorn. Wich to me is a big diff, i think signs mean alot and make up who we are.
Anyways ill kepp ya posted:)

merry blessings all!!

I hope you've got seen to.... Especially as you said you can't keep down fluids. I went through that, but early on in pregnancy, and was badly dehydrated.... I hope everything is ok!

36 weeks is close, but not fully there yet. It does sound like you are going through the process. If your Doc thinks you should hold off, I suppose that's his/her decision. Good luck! And I know the feeling (At least the potty all the time one.) Just hang in there!

And there is nothing wrong with being a cap!

we thought last wed was the day but after 2 hrs of painful contractions, i needed rest, it was 2 am. I was able to fall asleep on my right side and the next day nothing...
Its been that way the last 3 days...nothing all day than they start at night.
Its so crazy, i never thought being dialated and effaced for this long was normal but i guess it is. Im able to drink but i still can only eat 1nce a day. Though im not even hungry at this point.

So we hope this little guy will bless us with his face this weekend but ya never know.
thought id let ya know how we were doing:)

Merry Blessings

i am so glad to hear your baby hung on this long! i know its a long haul but the risk of complications is higher before 38 weeks. now that u WANT the baby to come, the very best thing is lots of sex ;) not only does orgasm tone your uterus, but your mate's ejaculate contains prostoglandins that help soften your cervix. prostoglandins are the active ingredient in the gel they put on a woman's cervix to induce labour. it likely wont do a thing if u arent ready, but if u are (and it sounds like u are) it can be just the thing to get things moving (as well as being great fun)
