First of all, let me say that this did not feel like a dream, but I had a fitful night's sleep and had woke up several times. It has been a few days and I can't figure this dream out. I will post what I remember of this dream in hopes that someone can give me some insight.

I am at a Reiki gathering with familiar people, normal activities...I only remember a flash of this part and it could have been totally seperate from the latter part of the dream. From what I remember, we were having a conversation and my friend Chris says, "if it was a lion, that would be incredible."

Flash to driving in my car down what seems like a familiar country road. Both my kids are with me and we are watching out the window, per usual, for wildlife and other unique sites. We see a cougar and a leopard curled up on the edge of someone's woods, then a lion pouncing on one of them. I think to myself I will call Crhis to report seeing the lion. We thought it was a bit strange, but kept driving.

Here is the part I remember in detail: Continuing to drive, I look into the sky and see 11 white unicorns flying overhead. In awe, I point them out to the kids and suddenly, feathers begin falling from the sky, like a gift from the Gods. I pull into a driveway of sorts that has a couple of close outbuildings, get out of the car to gather some feathers. While picking what I thought was feathers out of the brushy field close by, I hear a father yelling at a child for something, then a spanking noise, soon after a boy emerges from an outbuilding and stares coldly into my eyes. He looks sheepish, like he is embarrassed that I obviously heard this exchange between him and his father.

I continue to gather the 'feathers' but when I look down to view my fistfuls of feathers, they are not feathers at all, but rather some type of natural fluffy white stuff, like milkweed seeds. I get back into the car disappointed that I had nothing to show for my unicorn sighting and drive away. End dream...except that I briefly thought to myself that I was sorry that I went to that Reiki gathering on the wrong day and I would have to call my friends to apologize to crashing a private gathering, as I realize that where it was being held was unusual and it had been on Saturday instead of the usual Sunday.

I never gave the unicorn much thought before now and even as a mythical creature, never thought it existed.

What does it mean? Now after reading the whole thing, it sounds so stupid, I hesitate to post, but will anyways. Before anyone asks, no substances were used prior to sleep...

I looked in the animal speaks book and nothing, I did a quick google search.....

Thinking outside the box

Unicorn

To see a unicorn in your dream, symbolizes high ideals, hope and insight in a current situation. It also symbolizes power, gentleness, and purity. Alternatively, it may represent your one-sided views.

It does help a great deal, and thanks so much. I did an MSN search, but didn't come up with anything like that. I'd be interested to know the sites you used for future reference...

I asked my guide about the dream, but all he said ws it was not a dream at all, and that he knew I'd feel better after having that experience...which I did.

Good Luck....I just went to google and type in numbers in dreams and the same for the unicorn. I am always checking out my dreams. The Animal Speak book by Ted Andres is great if you have animals in your dreams, evverday life or meditations.
