Hello all, I got my deck today (gilded tarot) and I hope this will be the start of something wonderful I hope to have a good bond with my cards and feel comfortable with them, and for them to absorb my energy properly in order for accuracy.
So does anyone have any tips or methods to start of on the right foot?
Any sort of input would be much appreciated,
Thankyou _cloud9_

I don't have any tips but, I too got the Gilded a couple of months ago and have only started working with it recently, it feels as though it fits me so right and it is a fantasic deck, I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine :D

I saw a card of it online and I was immediately drawn to it, then I went and researched it found a site that showed them all and I thought they were beautiful and so good for a beginner the bag is beautiful too and the book looks great (I havent had chance to give it a proper read i just flicked) I am really pleased to own it, I hope it will be the start of a very long relationship with them :flowers:

Hey there DarkWaltz, my best advice is to play with them often. :) Shuffle them alot, even if you're not going to do a reading. Pull cards at random and look at all the symbolism in them. The Gilded is a gorgeous deck and is loaded with great images, every time I look at it I see something new. :)
I would also recommend keeping a journal. In the journal you can write down your impressions of each card and any readings you do. This gives you a good solid foundation and it's also always interesting to look back after a few months to see if your first impressions of a card have changed.
You don't need to bleed on your cards, sleep with them, wrap them in silk or anything else. The cards are yours, all you need to do to get to know them is to use them. Good luck in your new tarot journey!
