When I was very little, the hospital used to give lobster dinners to the employees, at a restaurant no less!
I guess times are harder, now, so it's the thought that counts! But... bonus $ would be nice!!

OH! The hospital gives us a big dinner, it will be tomorrow, ahhh! light dawns, We will probably get those gift cards tomorrow....Anyway our dinner will be shrimp cocktail, prime rib etc .....but it will be fixed in the hospital kitchen, I'm a bit sceptical on how good it will be..........Ken got a $50 gift certficate to Red Lobster from work.....

WOW! That's so cool that they can do that for you! (Knowing some of our kitchen staff, I can't blame you...) lol One of the Dr.'s here is throwing his annual pizza party for all the nursing floors, all shifts, but it's on my day off this year..
The administrators pulled a meeting to tell us how great we're doing this year- we have new financial backers, we don't have the debt that we did- so maybe we'll get lucky this year!

When I was working at the public library in high school, we got this 'fun cash' stuff...about $20 each I think, which wasn't too bad since I was barely making above minimum wage. However, we could only use this in certain businesses and only in my hometown.

I was given the option one year of getting a Christmas bonus or a raise of $2.00 per hour. I took the raise. Other than that, no bonus...but I've only had a few jobs.
My husband doesn't get a Christmas bonus, beyond a Christmas party with food and dancing, and door prizes. But then, the company pays him way way below industry standard as well, so it doesn't surprize me that they're too cheep to give bonuses. It would be nice though.

My office has a party every year with a little "white elephant" gift exchange. So, we get snacks and fun for all with babysitter paid for. Then we usually get a small (cash) bonus. Nothing strange yet.
But this years party is tomorrow...so we'll see.

A Turduckin.
It's a Chicken stuffed with Creole Shrimp dressing, that is then stuffed into a Duck, which is then stuffed into a Turkey.
I cooked it. The grease spilt out of the pan and I slipped on it. I served it anyway. My daughter asked that we never have it again.
One girl in the office asked if we couldn't just take the cash value and I agreed, but kept my mouth shut and took my Turduckin, but if we ever get them again I'm donating mine to the Jimmy Hale Mission.

I love my boss this year!!! She remembered my fetish for socks. (I love all those cute little socks you can get) and gave me some really great ones. Oh and she also gave me some expensive makeup products. But the person who sells those products is another employee so I'm sure she got a discount.
Last year at my previous job we all received T-shirts from our boss. She told us all that she picked them out according to our individual personalities...... It was a considerable downer when I opened my package and got a shirt with grumpy on it.
Course then I figured out that our boss was a major b*#?h and that she got enjoyment out of bringing people down (espessially me.) Wow I just remembered why I was so happy to take a paycut when I moved to my other job!!

Well my fellow employees (and “white trash” doesn’t even being to describe it) are thinking about holding the annual X-mas part at a strip club. They think that would be a grand idea. Unfortunately, me and my fellow underage employees can’t come, which is really a shame. The last one that they held at a bar everyone got wasted beyond belief. They're a good bunch... going places.
One of them is actually in court today, she's divorcing her 4th husband and he's charging her with child abuse (although he doesn't want custody of the kids) but that's okay since he's only got 10 counts of child abuse on her and she's got 30 on him. Her oldest has a restraining order against them and lives in Cali. :woah: Although she’s one of the mangers that likes me.
Other then that we get an extra 4 hours tacked on to our pay check. Woot woot indeed.

I used to help clean at the pastor's house. It was a big old Victorian with several families living under the same roof. One year, one of the boys got a gift set of chocolate shaped like sports items. Baseball, football, bat, etc. He'd eaten one of the things out of it and decided he didn't like it, and so they gave me the rest of the package. Nice, huh?

I'm off tomorrow and a friend and I are going to shop...maybe. We were trying
to do this on Monday, but she was called in to work...We were also going to eat lunch...so tomorrow we are going to the hospital on our day off to have lunch...sounds incredible doesn't it? I actually suggested we go in disguise so no one could grab us and put us to work :geez:

One year, the boss' wife gave the employees a coupon for free milk from the Speedway gas station...that was weird. This year, we get a party and a 'mystery gift'...last year's M. Gift was a bottle of expensive wine...wonder what it'll be this year??? Note: I no longer work for the cheap milk coupon gifters! thank the gods!!!

This year we got one of those "hiker clips" thingies with a flashlight attatched. (about 2 inches long) With the company name on it.
Watch my joy and excitement over that. Frankly I would have perfered a cheap card to this thing.

They did it in my mother's office once. They never did it again because one guy gave a female coworker a banana.

We were counting on the xmas bonus we were supposed to get this year from dh's job. Instead, we get a card stating that they've decided to donate to the Red Cross instead. That is all fine and dandy-but dh and I know how much of a bunch of tight wads the owners of the company can be. They probably donated a couple hundred dollars, and called it 'good'. This company is quite well off and has virtually no competition. Oh well, it's the thought that counts.

years ago I delivered pizza, on Christmas eve, I was called into the office, and offered a huge line of cocaine. Being the good Rasta boy I was, i said no to the babylon drug. 420 only, and I'm still alive :fpeace:
