Hi all, Im a new memeber here and have been enjoying reading all your thoughts!

I've just finished a brilliant tarot card course here in york, UK. It lasted for 6 weeks and we learnt all about the major and minor arcana's aswell as meditating on the Empress card - which was a powerful experience!

The Lovers card means to me and I think you can see it more on others decks than this one
- I have the Secret tarot deck - and on mine it shows a guy being tempted by two beautiful cheecky females - this shows a emotional decision - which means that often the querrant has to decide about something in their own relationship or even chose between to lovers.

I think this also fits with this card as the woman is looking up to the goddess in a way that suggests a need for guidance.

I have also seen decks where there are two women to choose from. I have seen it refered to as The Choice... the dark haired possibly representing dark or evil and the light haired the "right" choice. But I think that is a little too black and white as there is right and wrong in every choice we make.

I totally agree with you about our choices and right and wrong being in every one of them.

Interesting you mention black and white -
I actually dont have my notes at the moment (as Im at work) and have forgotten the correct termanolgy but there are two words that describe positive and negative / black and white pillars : do you know them by any chance because its bugging me now and I wont rest until I get home tonight? one begins with a b (not black!) if thats any help?

Black and white is often symbolised in Tarot in the form of cups (Temperance) or Pillars (Justice) representing the positive and negative / right and wrong / light and dark is in everything and has to be for a balance to be made.

In my tarot the women on the Lovers card, too have different coloured hair - dark and light and yes! I forgot to mention that this does symbolise a balance to be made in the decision! but also in this instance the Lovers card is really just saying follow your heart and believe in your gut instincts, ride the wave and see what happens!
