Okay, there's gotta be an omen in this somewhere, just not sure what...
When we were all getting ready to leave work the other morning (I work third shift), everyone that was outside saw a flock of crows chasing a Bald Eagle...strange...I thought Eagles were capable of taking care of themselves. Of course, the eagle could have been sick, but it all seemed so strange. And the crows around here have been awful, literally thousands of them, everywhere, in the trees, rooftops, parking lots...everywhere. My daughter and I went to Big Lots the other night, and there were crows everywhere! It had just started getting dark, and what little light there was was completely obliterated by all the crows in the area. They were flying in and out of the trees, landing on the roof of the store, everywhere. When we walked in, there were lines of them perched on the roof, looking down at us. And on my way to work the other night, I stopped to drop off some movies, and noticed a lot of crows there too. Then when I was on my way to work, two very large bird like shadows crossed the road in front of me. Are the crows taking over or what???

ravens usually mean some kinda sign. has anything weird or bad been happening lately? as for them chasing an eagle, they tend to do that quite often, ive seen it happen alot. its there way of protecting there food source or temporary domain. if you use tarot cards you might check into it, if you dont, keep your eyes open and listen to what your visions are.

Definately be aware of your surroundings for awhile! I agree with Rudas on this one!

My primary reactions to folks who inquire about crows are
- they are often referenced in historic text as carrion eaters that gather before a large battle
- some cultures saw them as icons of the death deity, responsible for carrying souls into the Otherworld

In your case, where there are such vast numbers obviously seen by a great number of people, I have to steer away from the usual suggestions of
- the crows may be alerting you to a personal struggle or danger on the horizon
- perhaps you have recently resolved a difficult struggle and the crows are there to carry away any remaining "energies"

Chasing the bald eagle is certainly a normal activity for the crows. Many times, smaller birds will attack an invader as a group to drive them from the territory or protect nests. While the larger bird would certainly be able to handle a single opponent, the sheer number of adversaries makes escape the wiser choice. You however felt it as a significant image, so I would encourage you to consider what attributes you connect to the eagle.

I often recommend to folks that they spend a few minutes sitting quietly and try to draw an image of the crow with their imagination. Then, quietly consider what emotions that image invokes. Do you feel sad? Creepy? Brave? Warm? Once you have collected a list of such words for each item you are questioning, consider what they might be saying.

My immediate reaction to your description of crows chasing a bald eagle was ... Iraqi insurgents attacking U.S. soldiers. That's obviously my feelings based on my views of events in the world. I don't offer it as an interpretation that should apply to your case just a reflection on my feelings.

Hope some of this helps. Oh, and one piece of practical advice: don't park your car under the crows' favorite tree! :nyah:

Okay, now I'm just scared!

Oh come now! That's not the point. You have been given the message so that you may be prepared and perhaps alter the events of the near future. If the appearances were meant as a glimpse of the future, consider it a gift, and be ready.

this is the very first thing I thought, attack on the US, or something along those lines, the bald eagle being our national bird. But my impression was that something big is going to happen, or something bad that involves the US. It is a bit odd that it happened at work, because I work at a factory that makes aerospace products, and our biggest customer is the US military, we make airplane engine parts for all of their planes!

LOL...been there, done that!

Uh, guys? You can take it as a sign if you want, but crows are well known for forming a mob and attacking and driving off raptors like owls, and hawks. They are brave in groups. It was a bald eagle this time, but it is normal behaviour for crows.
