Also sent via email to the whole community!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season. If not, I would hope you would visit the Energy forum on Mystic Wicks (http://www.mysticwicks.com/forumdisplay.php?f=56) to request a little pick me up. We all need it from time to time.

We have been adding lots of new features for our members over the last few weeks. Some of these have been subscription services (like Mystic Wicks After Dark). We are about to bring MW Journals online which will also be a feature available to all MW subscribers.

Subscribers! I noticed that when we announced the opening of Mystic Wicks After Dark that we had a lot of confusion regarding the term *subscriber*. Subscribers are folks that pay for extra features and services. As I work toward making MW my full time job I will be adding more and more features to, hopefully, attract more subscribers. If you have any suggestions on features please don’t hesitate to email me. What is a feature that would attract YOU to subscribe?

We haven’t forgotten regular members. We never will. Currently we have added tons of new arcade games and put in lots of new features. We have upgraded the community photo album (http://www.mysticwicks.com/photoalbum/) and Mystic Wicks Auctions are taking off. (http://www.mysticwicksauctions.com (http://www.mysticwicksauctions.com/)). We will continue to bring new features to this community regardless of subscription status.

And finally, why are you doing this, mol? Why the subscriptions? Well, Mystic Wicks is going to be my full time job soon. I am resigning from my current job and I will be focusing all my attention to MW and the MW network of sites which will include MW, MW Auctions, MW After Dark, MW Marketplace, MW Web Hosting, and MW Personals. Your subscription helps MW grow. We never thought Mystic Wicks would become the place it has become today…and it can only get better. We are working to make it just that…BETTER!

For those that want access to Mystic Wicks After Dark (http://www.mysticwicksafterdark.com) only you can subscribe right on the MWad site for $2 a month. Yup, $2. That’s it. It’s not even an automatic subscription. It’s strictly a ‘pay to play’ site. $2 gets you one month. At the end of the month you will be reminded to go pay again if you want to continue access.

We understand not everyone has credit cards or Paypal. We understand some of you do not want to do business on the web. That’s fine. Contact mol or Semele and we will get you details on how to pay for your subscription via money order or check.

Remember. I wanna be alternating orange paisley with lime green plaid. (Please don't do that for real. I was teasing. It would be a horrible punishment to really be those colors.)

Are level 4 and level 1 both supposed to be Cyan? Just wondering....

mol, I just want to point out that I am the wrong color. Apparently I'm stuck in the green category (because I started out in green), when I really should be blue at the moment. With Xmas and all, I had to step it down a level for a month--I know, it's just $5 but it wasn't the only placed I trimmed. After the 1st, I'll go back up to green.

It could be a problem later, I think. *shrug*

Is one very rude if one doesn't subscribe at all?

No, especially if one is very poor :tongueout

But I like going :awilly:

Seriously, this sounds great, mol. You are getting closer to realizing your dreams, and we've been a part of it. How cool is that?!

A question: you said -
(coming REALLY soon) space for a personal website located at yousitename.mysticwicks.com. That’s right; the gold member account will include web hosting. does this include commercial websites with shopping carts for PayPal and the like? With complete templates and full technical support? Because I would need all that and hand holding to want to change. I am redimentary at best in my HTML abilities. Not totally illiterate, but still talking in baby sentances.

And would we be able to try out a few sample templates and see what it's like to use?

Thanks, DC

Oh, yes, you are horribly rude and we'll all throw water balloons at you.

;) Just kidding. **hugs** What would be horribly rude is for you to not be here and contributing your thoughts and opinions and stuff. Without people to make this place alive it's just a pretty template rather than a site.

at first I din't understand why people were subscribing when there are ads up. I know that this started out because mol and semele have a huge bill to pay to keep the site running. And I of course understand people donating to the site for that purpose. But once the ads were put up I didn't think that mol and semele would need people to subscribe. But now with all of the extra services I think it makes perfect sense. And I am glad that subscribers and nonsubscribers alike can still hang out. Mol and Semele are doing a great job and have come up with some wonderful new features!

Originally our subscriptions were only to pay for the monthly server bill. The ads were to pay for everything else he's giving us. Now I guess it's developed a bit :)
