This is a place to share your stories of the holiday spirit.

I know this time of year, so many people get depressed and there seems to be so much more stress and anger. So I thought we should have a thread to share the Good and Happy things that happen this time of year.

I'll start.

This weekend, I was at Walmart and bought a gift for my BIL. I get it out to the car and find that there is *no* way this thing is fitting in the car. As I stand there trying to figure it out, the lady in the spot next to me offers to load it in her Suburban and follow me home. Now, I am of course extremely skeptical, but I figure "why not". So, after writting down her license plate number, we are off. She follows me to my friends house and drops off the gift. She wouldn't accept anything other than my thanks (I tried to give her a few bucks) and just commented that "Well, I would hope that were I in your situation that someone would help me".

So, I now have a renewed sense of holiday cheer!

Thats a great story Tz!!:D

My dearest freind in Texas sent me a box of peppermints that I love and can't get out here. That doll spent more on shipping them then they cost....she's goofy, but I love her!:heartthro

I am having an all around wonderful holiday season, one of the best in years. Nothing specific, but I am just more optimistic than usual about people in general.

Oh one kind of neat story, when I was in DC I went to look at a martial arts store for a gift for my uncle who is a black belt in Kempo. I spoke with the guy there and got a few maybe's and went to leave. I than notice he had a pentacle on and asked if he was pagan. He said he was, I told him I was but that I had on a turtleneck that hid my pentacle. We talked about how his boss preferred he hid his, thinking it made the customers uncomfortable. When I went to leave he called me back and gave me a kempo key chain for my uncle. A nice random kindness from a kindred spirit.

Awww, that's such a sweet story. Proof that there still are some nice people in this world.

I don't have any really great stories, but one thing that made me quite happy was what my friend wrote on my Christmas card. She isn't very happy with the fact that I am Pagan, so it made me very happy that she wrote "Enjoy your first Yule"! _happydanc
