Hello, all, I wanted to share my Midwinter experience. I have a tiny altar set up in my tiny apt.; on it are a few gold candles, 1 red & 1 green, both sparkly. I also have my Sun-charm, which I constructed according to one of my all-time favorite magick books, "The Crone's Book of Wisdom" by Valerie Worth (posthumous title notwithstanding), & an old gift from a college friend: a green Italian imitation-serpentine egg. Also a seashell.
So that's my altar. As I was doing my excercise today by walking back & forth for half-an-hour, an activity which always seems to induce a meditative state in me, I stopped in front of my altar & scooped some energy. As I walked, I formed it into a "thought-form" ball of energy containing my uppermost desires. I carried it back to the altar, & dropped it "into" the egg. What I could see then, with my 3rd eye that is!, was a BLINDING light like a flare from a welding-torch! (Blinding without the right eye-gear!) I was calling on my deities Cernnunos & Danu's assistance; it looks like *something* is happening! :D Just before this, I had a sudden sense of calm & well-being, which as someone in recovery from a severe bi-polar incident ending just a little over a year ago, is particularly noteworthy.
