**look of horror mingled with distaste** Wrapping? Not me, Jack. I get other people to do that kind of thing for me whenever possible.

It depends on the gift. I can get really creative with wrapping paper but sometimes I just don't feel like it if it's an unusually shaped box. So, "other" I use paper and bags

I used all brown paper. :) I would have used twine/some kind of brown string had I found some, but I didn't, so they all have brightly coloured Christmas bows on them. :rollingla

I use a lot of different things to wrap with! I have even used kitchen towels as it was part of the gift. I made cookie jar mixes and wrapped the jars in a nice new towel. They were really cute. So..you never know what I may wrap your gift in;)

*shrug* whatever said gift will fit in. if it's a shirt or something.. box. if it's something in a box.. paper. if it's neither one.. bag. i don't have the patience to keep things from one year to the next... lol.. so i always have to buy more. i can't stand having things around from last year. i've even tossed a few artificial xmas trees just because i was sick of storing them...

I picked "other" simply because I use different things... I use store bought paper, gift bags and gift boxes.

As a rule, I dislike paper... I can't recycle where I am, so I may use comics, paper bags, gift bags, or nothing, if it's for the kids. I just set their gifts out in the morning.

But I LOVE bows... gimme lots of bows. Plus the cats play with them, so they have another life when all is done.

I've wrapped my gifts up in cloth, so it can be reused. I dislike wrapping things in paper because of the sheer mess it makes and because of the waste.

Gift bags. Simple, fast, and reuseable.
Or, I get the paper it was put in at the store and re-wrap it. (Like on a blown glass sculpture.)

Other:
I make bags from prety holiday fabric and for the folks who live with me I shove the gift in the cloth bag and tie it with a ribbon. Everyone else gets wrapping paper, becuase I want my bags back so I can reuse them next Yule!

For a few years, I wrapped only in Weekly World News. It's a tabloid with the weirdest articles. That was fun. :) Then I ran out and didn't feel like buying them again...

Pretty much store bought wrapping paper. Sometimes I use bags and ribbon if the box is unusually shaped, or I'm usually lazy. One year for father's day, I couldn't find any paper I really liked at the store, so I made some on the computer. That was fun, and I might do it again, it goes over really well.

Store-bought paper..sometimes bags, if I really don't feel like going for the championship of awkward wrapping techniques.

I use wrapping paper from the store. However, I use gift boxes too. Just not as much. Actually, I'm stuck in this room while my mother's outside wrapping gifts.

News Paper.... :bigredblu It may seem cheap, but When you have lots of old news paper around, in my opinion it looks kind of cool. I´m always buying news paper, so I have plenty of it. I also make the bows out of news paper and wrap up the gift like a collage, it looks authentic. :toofless:

My friend had the brilliant idea of buying these pretty party-type napkins and using them as wrapping paper. It looks good, and it's a whole lot cheaper if you don't have much or anything really big to wrap.
