I would like to start a journal but I do not see any way to access it so that I can make one. Is it only for special people ?? :eyebrow:

If by "special" you mean "people who help support MW" then yes :)

Yeah, but you can have a journal elsewhere. I'm a member of www.bravejournal.com
I really like it. It's a little tightnit community. We have a journal of the week where everyweek..one journal member is selected and featured. It's a lot of fun there and I've made a lot of good friends. Look on my signature and you can visit my journal.

Yes, I'd say check out some of the blog sites out there. There's zillions of them...
deardiary.net
livejournal.com
deadjournal.com
greatestjournal.com
blurty.com
bloopdiary.com
opendiary.com
journalspace.com
journalcommunity.com (this one is still beta testing, but keep an eye out for when it's ready to take new members)
digitalexpressions.nu
mydeardiary.com
diaryland.com
diaryplace.com
I've tried most of those. I can recommend livejournal, deadjournal, greatestjournal and blurty the highest. If you go to opendiary.com have a really good popup blocker ready. The popups there on the freebie site can get out of control.
BTW I'm new here. Hello!

Ah yes, but with those other places come other things. Some of which you mentioned like, pop-ups, more registration, additional spam! Here, there is none of that. And the format is really quite nice, and leaves you still on MW.
Also, the cost is not so very much. Though I know some can't afford it, especially with it being this time of year. But you do not just get a journal, you get much more...
This subscription currently gives you access to a special contributors forum where you can suggest and discuss new features, etc,
plus increased PM storage (500),
a Mysticwicks email address (POP3 access) with no real storage limit,
and more to come (including being able to read email, etc right from you PM box),
larger avatar size (110x110 pixels),
VIP access to Mystic Wicks After Dark (Adults Only),
your name in CYAN (Yippee!),
and the ability to create your own MW Journal.
All that for just the minimum subscription fee of $5 a month! And best of all... you get to help out a wonderful community!
Just a shameless plug for MW Contributions. :)

How much does one donate to have a MW journal. I might convince my mom to help me out. I would really like to be able to express my thoughts where my mw friends can read without having zillions of threads made for my feelings. Who ever said they liked those? _tsk_
