anyway, i heard the term green witch, which is a witch who uses a lot of herbs and things of the sort, right? so...would that would be the earth element? what are the elements, exactly? are there certain magick tools for air elements? ack, so confused. i don't even know if im posting this in the right board! :bigredblu

I think your interests in becoming a Chr-stian Witch are well founded. :) I'm a Gnostic Druid ... :) but I'm rather Chr-stian in my practises now - at least Gnostic Chr-stian.
A Green Witch is usually termed as someone who specializes in herbs/potions and their uses.
I'm not Wicca... but it seems that what you're interested in. To the extent of my knowledge, in Wicca they have five elements: Spirit, Air, Earth, Water and Fire. Personally, I feel no attachment to this 5-E system, as I like to call it. That's partly because the definition of "element" is something that cannot be broken down any further - and I believe that one can break down the 5-E sytem MUCH further. However, one may consider the path of Green Witches to be rather centered, on the 5-E scale, at earth -- though I do not. Just because they adopt the title of Green Witch, doesn't make them 5-E Earth centered - though in general it is not all that foolish to make such an assumption.
"Magick tools for air elements"? I do not use them, but Ah-tay-mays (Athames) are often used for cutting air, I believe. I am not sure.
My recommendation would to continue to look around here... :) You'll find that a lot of people will say: go off in a corner and try and make something up yourself -- then come back, and we'll compare notes.
Peace and Love.

You're in the right place, don't worry!
The elements are the basic magickal energies of the universe. They are Earth, Air, Fire, Water (from the Greeks). And yes, there are certain magickal tools associated with them. I'll let you google that, as the associations are different in different pagan traditions.
Green witch comes from (to my knowledge) Ann Moura's books on the traditional practices of her family. A Green Witch is one who works with the rhythms and patterns of the earth, not just the Earth element, and Green is a color that has always been associated with other world, fairies, the occult and so forth. There is a lot of herb usage in the Magick practice and a communication or communion with nature, with the earth, with the spirits and energies of plants and animals.

I have to admit that I don't know much about the term "Green Witch" KEishin's words are probably more reliable on the subject than mine. ....just for clairity...

I suppose one could use the term 'fire witch'...."to witch the fire"...hrmm. Its not unheard of, but I have never personaly used the term. My workings are usualy with fire (I am a fire breather, and shape flame with energy manipulation)...but I wouldnt call myself a fire witch.
