Here in my city, we have a hookah bar where they have many many different types of hookas for people to try out. And different flavours too. I have never been there, but it is a popular place. Now I know why.
Best wishes,

Maybe it seems like you're speaking in a foreign language because I'm in Canada... but what in heck are you talking about? :imout:

I don't see why anything should be considered parafanalia (i don't know how to spell it either) if you use it leagal.. but to me most drugs laws are stupid and need to be rewritten, if not have the useless ones weeded out all together.... lol

I've always thought Hookahs were cool. I really like the really large fancy ones.

In my neck of the woods we call them fancy bongs. :)
And we have parifinalia laws but it only applies to things used for illegal drugs, If used for only tobacco..its legal so they can also sell them here.

his friends have a huge one.. i'd like a big one, but the combonation of bitchy grand-ma, and all to active cats makes that an impossiblity for now... oh well...

I love hookahs. I really want one!
We also have a place over here that has hookahs and different flavoured shisha (I think thats what it's called). It's called the turkish cafe.. which would imply that it is turkish.. :D
And just for the record.. it's spelt: paraphernalia

I have one. They're called a hooka, a nargila or a nargileh, and an argila or argileh. Water pipe is another name it goes by. Shisha is what the tobacco is called. It's made with either honey or molasses, flavoring and good quality tobacco.
I've found that Al-Waha is the best tobacco for it. Try mixing a little bit of mint with strawberry.
The best part is that as beautiful as they are and as harmful as inhaling smoke of any kind can be, it's nonaddictive and the water acts as a filter. Plus, it smells a hell of a lot nicer than most other tobacco products do.
southsmoke.com is the site I go to in order to get good prices for tobacco and/or parts.
It's very important that you clean every part of it WELL after using your hookah, and that you blow out the hose before using it. (Getting a speck of black crud in your mouth or in your lungs from an improperly cleaned hose is a very unpleasant experience.) And make sure you never use soapy water. Just regular warm water is all that is necessary.
The colder you can make the water, the more enjoyable your experience will be. I use equal parts water and ice when I use my hookah.
Also, don't sully your hookah with illegal things or even regular tobacco products. Use only good quality shisha.
If you plan on drinking, don't use your hookah, because you'll risk knocking it over, breaking it or setting your house on fire.
**edited to add** One more thing... sometimes charcoal pops, and it can fall outside the protective tray. That was a nasty surprise. I was glad I only used the thing outside or I would have ruined the rug if it had landed there.

Hookah???!
Oh, a water-pipe! Yeah, those are fun. One night in Germany an old couple took me to a Palestinian restaurant/deli where we ate amazing food, drank great tea, and smoked an apple flavoured waterpipe. That's my idea of a great time. ;)
They were selling them for something like 12 Euro... and I should have bought it!
