Doesn't it sound like the name of a pagan song, or at least a thread about how I am hiding my religion.... but no.... I am literally going to be burning insense in my closet.

After my first project came out well, I decided to repaint and organize my walk in closet.

As I am working though, I am realizing a big part of the other spaces transformation involved the burning of lots of sage and sandlewood. So now I am debating what to burn in the closet.

Lavendar or Rosemary come to mind, though I am not sure of that properties rosemary has offhand.

Any other thoughts? Anyone know why rosemary might have come to mind?

Make sure you have plenty of ventilation. I hate to read about you in the news paper : Witch suffocated by incense in closet.

Rosemary can help sooth the muscles, especially the muscles of the stomach or the uterus. The romans used to use rosemary to improve memory. Recently there are research which suggest that rosemary is an anti-oxident and can help prevent the binding of carcinogens to DNA.

magically, rosemary is used for purification. it's similar to sage, but not as powerful. since you're giong to be working in a closet, maybe less strong is better. :) personally, i think cedar would be a good thing to burn in there, too. it's another purifier, and moths don't like the smell.

I just came across this, and had a thought: what a divine way to scent one's clothes! As long as your incense isn't too 'smokey'.
