Looking at a flower garden and wanted to know...are we too late for bulbs? Too early? Your suggestions on what to plant and when...

Thanks! Love and Light.

The best time for most bulbs is after the frost season. Many of your bulbs can be started indoors and trasnplanted in the spring when the soil is warmer.

There are many different types of bulbs, most common are Spring and Summer. Spring bulbs tend to do better in colder conditions. They are not a delicate and there is less chance for damaging the shoots, and tubers rotting in colder soils.

Check in your local garden spots, for more information on the bulbs and their types. Many nurseries only carry the bulbs which are in season to retain space, but as most bulbs can be started inside, they may have a wide variety even this time of year.

Remember, in most cases, bulbs are delicate, just like the flower.

Hope this is a good start...

Certainly is...thank you for the information. I think that it still may be a little cold here in the Central states...but the starting inside is not a bad idea at all. I will look into that option. I guess that this will make everything go a little quicker. Give the bulbs a head start to grow?
