Blessings.......
Yesterday ...... I spent getting on with my life........ and this is what happened I am hoping to share here what we all are doing that is helping us to heal .
Sept 15 is Annually "COASTAL CLEAN UP" day at the National Seashore here where I live... and a day to share ecological concerns..... be with people who love the EARTH, and ALL of its creatures, regardless of any other spiritual or political affiliation.
I went with a close pagan friend , who is pregnant ..... to be with OUR MOTHER and show our love with action.
We had our trash bag... and we walked along a stretch of beach picking up trash......pieces of styrofoam , plastic , aluminum..etc.....
We commented on how we felt a connection with the rescue workers in NYC and sent along healing and energy from that bright sunwashed shore to them.. and to all the victims .......
We continued to walk along , we stopped to play with the bright seafoam, from which the Goddess Aphrodite sprung, and which looked like multicolored jewels in the sun............ the treasures of the earth strewn upon the shore ....... and as we walked we found a large WILLOW branch with green leaves washed up in the sand........ a symbol of death and rebirth and healing ......from Willow comes the willow bark tea which alleviates pain......., and we took a small piecce each for our alters........
and we kept on ...... and found a huge piece of BIRCH BARK......washed up as well..... which in the Celtic system holds the meaning of rebirth, and new beginnings ......
We took pieces of that, too, for our alters ..... and as saddened as I am ....... in my heart, I am restored somewhat by this touch of the Goddess, and her "sendings" on the sun washed shore, and I can feel some joy , and take heart and have strength. I feel restorred in my connection to the EARTH and SKY AND WATERS, and I wanted to share some of that feeling with you ...... and am wondering what ever else anyone has found to help you , in your efforts to be restored and heal .
Love and light
