i work in a very old strip mall in the oldest part of town. the mall has been there at least since the 50's, as many of our old customers remember going there when they were teenagers.

my place of work is haunted by at least two ghosts.

the first one is the ghost of a small boy. he travels throughout the whole store, but prefers the seasonal section, where we have all our holiday decorations, the most because of the colors. e's generally very well behaved, but will occaisionally knock things over. he is not the one i'm worried about.

the second ghost is of a blond woman. she hangs out in the back rooms, and definately in the attic where we store the overstock batting (i work at jo-anns). most of us have had times when we were in the back break room, and shes passed by the door out of the corner of our eyes. then we'll go and look in the back everywhere, thinking its a customer, and no ones there. i get a horrible feeling everytime i go to the back room to get more bags or get some batting down. at the store, we actually have taken to announcing to the other emplyees that we are taking a trip to the attic, and if w're not back in 10 minutes to come rescue us.

i don't know what the lady's story in, but it cannot be a good one.

I'm totally convinced that there's at least one ghost where I work. I don't know what my coworkers think. I've never asked them because they're religious conservatives who reject such ideas.

I work in a jewelry store that is on the first floor of what was once a small hotel. Our store takes up half of what was once the lobby. The entrance to the hotel is next door and beyond that is another store that takes up the second half of the lobby. The hotel is empty, kept up on the outside, but abandoned on the inside. My store has been there about 57 years. It's family owned and run. The original owner, my boss's father, has been dead 15 years and it's him I think I'm seeing. I see him all the time, usually at the top of the stairs. Once, I even saw him on security monitor.

I'm not sure if it's a true ghost of just an imprint (like a fingerprint) of the man, but I think it might be a true ghost.

There were several spirits in the building I used to work in. It is even listed on a few of the Haunted Houston Sites. . .the Old Anderson Clayton Cotton Exchange Building on Prairie. . .

I have worked late and had doors act wierd and heard noises. . .but all throughout the day, the elevators would stop on floors not punched even when the "Don't Stop" button or key is used . . .doors would close and then open again waiting for someone or something to enter or exit. . .doors would lock or unlock on their own. . .open and close on their own. . .copy machines would make random copies without anyone using it (in the file room, so I have been in there when it happened)

Nothing malevolent. . .just playful. . .probably some poor soul who died working overtime for the County. . .like I did all the time.

the health food store i work in is haunted. we've seen two ghosts, one of each gender. a teacup flew off the shelf in the staff room, bread has flown off the shelf and turned itself around in the wrapper...i see things out of the corner of my eye quite frequently. another employee and i have talked about smudging the store after-hours because of it.

it used to be a bar, and i've heard tales of someone being stabbed there. i've been tempted to look it up but have wussed out each time: i'm not sure i want to know the whole story.

I work in a modern building on Sunset in West Hollywood. My office isn't 'haunted,' but I KNOW there is something that comes and goes. I'm extremely sensitive to when someone enters my hall and office, and there are many times I feel someone there, look up and nothing. I've also caught quick glimpses out of the corner of my eye of a shadow ghost.

I think we are all sensitive to the feeling of being watched....

My middle son works at our towns Community Center.....Everyone there sees a ghost of a man...but the Center is fairly new...no one has died there......We think the man is probaby tied to the land there...He doesn't interact with anyone, just scares the bejeebus out of everyone who isn't used to him...makes for some interesting wedding receptions.....

I believe the original owner of the company roams the hallway. There have been SEVERAL times where I swear he's looking over my shoulder. I saw him quickly once in my monitor reflection.

I think he just likes to roam around see how the company is faring without him.

I don't think I've worked anywhere that had ghosts. However...

I'm an Antique & Collectible dealer, and I often go to Antique Shows, Malls, shops etc... Believe me you, there'e some weird things going on in those places. I remember this one antique furniture store that had tons of pieces from Europe. One day I went in, and as I made my way to the back of the store, I got this erie feeling. Very negative, and I felt like I was being watched. After a few minutes I discovered that it was coming from a large armoire. Needless to say I couldn't get very close to it, and anytime I went into the store after that I knew that it was still in there. It totally gave me the willies!!

One day I went inside this shop again, and after being in there a few minutes I knew the armoire was gone. It was like the heaviness had been cleared out of the air. Now I go in the shop without any problems.

I was also talking with an employee at an Antique Mall where I rent a space to sell my stuff. He made a remark that he's certain strange things happen when they close the store at night. He said it's not really surprising with all the antique/old stuff they have for sale. I truly believe that people can imprint their emotions on objects, and they can stay with those objects for years.

well, I used to work at a grocery store. We had 3 ghosts there that I know of. The place had been 3 different grocery stores, and before that, a hardware store, then going back, it was homes, and even before that, part of a LARGE estate.

The first ghost was a woman, we think the night closing cashier, from the previous grociery store that was there. We found in old papers from that area, that a night clerk had been shot and robbed, by two men, in 1968. Almost every wednesday night, at about 12:15, she would come running around the produce department, still in uniform, making here way fast for the door. The look on her face was HORRIBLE. It scared the HELL out of me the first couple of time. She never made any noise or sounds though, although it looked like she was screaming. She would hit the floor right before the door, then disappear. The customers we REALLY scared of her. We never really let it get out about her though, the management wouldn't let it. And we were supposed to keep the customers away from that area at that period. Some loved it. But, oh well. We could even see her on the store cameras, that was amazing. She made a DEEP impression, with that playing over and over again, every week.

The other two ghosts, were mainly more sensed than seen. One was in the breakroom area, we would sometimes feel him in there, getting really cold. Also, we would see him out of the corner of our eyes.

The other one was in the receiving area, he was alittle more known. You could feel him moving through the room like a gust of wind. Every once in awhile he would rearrange things in the receiving bay. Of course, nobody was around to see it. After we got the camera back there, it never happened :-( .

Apparently I used to work in a haunted building. The O'Kane building in Bend, OR. I never knew it was supposed to be haunted until I stumbled across it on the web.

The are a variety of ghosts where I work, although they primarily confine themselves to the second floor. There is a records storage area that most female employees won't enter at night. Some folks were goofing around in there and put tape marks on the floor around the furniture. They locked the room and returned an hour later. The furniture (old chairs and desks) had been moved. No one else had the key to the room. Also in there there is a binder that is kept on top of a filing cabinet near the door. But that binder never stays on the top of the cabinet. It's always found on the floor. We don't know why the ghosts don't like it there.

On our West Wing there are a few rooms that have been converted into break/sleeping areas ... a tape recording (that unfortunately was made and taken home by someone no longer employed with us) was made in an empty room. There were sounds like that of someone that was tied to and thrashing on a bed ... like someone that was in insulin shock or perhaps a cold wrap.

Oh, did I mention ... this is a psychiatric hospital? Old building that we rent.

The old ghost patients don't mess with the new patients, which is why we think they stay upstairs.

When I used to volunteer at the local rescue squad, I used to think the
crewhall building had spirits. A lot of people have passed away in the
back of the ambulances. At night when the building was quiet, you
could hear someone opening and closing the doors of the trucks.
Walk out into the bay area and no one is there. I used to sit out in the bay
late at night to see if I could see anything. I could hear the motion inside
the trucks but never saw anything.

Just a few of the haunted buildings on the campus I work at :ghostie:

University of Dayton - The Theta Phi Alpha House - Is supposedly hunted by a young man. Many of the girls who have lived in the home report heavy items that are moves around and lights turning on or off on their own. Often the girls say they can feel a presence and that often when they go to bed at night it is cold and when they wake up they have less energy then they did the night before.

Liberty Hall
Liberty Hall is haunted by a hideous old man with a limp and bad teeth. The building was once an infirmary for students and university workmen, so he could be the ghost of one of the patients who died here. Today the building has been turned into offices.

Woodland Cemetery
Students at UD often find themselves in the huge cemetery adjacent to campus, sometimes to study or explore and sometimes just passing through, and they often see strange things there. The ghost of a pretty blonde girl sits atop a stone very close to campus, while the spirits of Johnny Morehouse and his pet dog roam the cemetery late at night.

I work in a nursing home and have had my share of ghostly experiences there, mainly right after a long-time resident has died--like a figure passing by their room door or their call light mysteriously ringing when noone is near their room. You can also hear someone close to you call your name, but when you turn around, noone is there (this happens quite often). But, for the past few months now, a ghostly little boy with blonde curly hair and a cowboy hat has been hanging around a certain hall in our building. He has been spotted a couple of times by the people working on that side--I work on the other side of the building. One time he appeared on the servaillance monitor in the nurses station, but not with the naked eye in the hallway itself. This nurse was so freaked out, she fled the building for a while that day. She used to stay late, but not anymore! As soon as her shift is over, she is out of there now!! Anyway, a coworker and friend of mine saw him again the other day. We have respectively named the little guy "Casper", due to his blonde curls, I guess. We were wondering why a little boy spirit would be hanging out at a nursing home, as he doesn't seem to be connected to any particular resident. We have only recently learned, after some investigating, that the small grounds our nursing home sits on used to be a family cemetary. Now, it kind of makes more since for this little boy to be there. I have not seen him, yet, but I hope I do. He does not harm anyone, and really doesn't seem to notice anybody around him. Hopefully, he will stay sweet like he is now. It is interesting to note that over the last about 6 months, our census has fallen drastically, and there is much worry over the future of our lovely little home--fear that it may be closed down. Maybe he feels our grief and has only now appeared to see what is going on, or to comfort us in some small way. Children can feel strife amongst adults, even if they don't understand it, so maybe his natural curiousity has been fueled by our own emotional turmoil and worried spirits. It is just like a small child to come to a sad grownup and innocently ask, "what's wrong?" . So, why not a ghost child?

I think we have a couple where I work. I work in a noisey factory but I hear my name being whispered a lot and I see something out of the corner of my eye moving at a pretty good pace sometimes. I have even felt like someone is watching me every now and then. And tools and stuff, have a tendency to come up missing.
I know that there have been at least 3 or 4 guys there that have taken their own lives. Sometimes,I can imagine why!
I haven't heard about anyone else at work seeing or hearing them except for me.
