Who knows about them and what do they mean please? Sorry I didn't dig through all the threads. I'm attatching a picture from my son's Grandma and Grandpa's house. I swear every picture I take with Trent and his Grandpa in their new house, these show up! Am I over analyzing?
TIA!

By no means am I an expert, but.... What I do know is that some people say they are spirits. I don't remember where, but, I once saw an article on Ball Lightning and how it could have a correlation to some of the "orbs" people see and or pick up on their cameras.

Personally, I believe that the orbs are spirits of some sort, but in the orb on the pic you posted, it looks more like an error of some sort on your lens. In the other pics with the "orbs" in them are they in they same place and look the same? Maybe you can post more pics with the orbs in them, also try cleaning your lense that may help. ^_^'

Thing is, I took several pictures that day, one after another, and that's the only one that showed up. I don't have any other pictures on my camera with Steve in them, but look at the other pictures from that day ... nothing :whatgives

I think in the vast majority of cases, orbs are refractions of light on the camera lens due to particles of dust, moisture, etc.

If you do a search for photos of orbs, you'll come across plenty of sites offering examples and explanations, such as this one: http://www.ghoststudy.com/a_what_are_orbs.html

hmm, chances are it was something with the lens.Since I first replied to your post i have been looking up a lot of information on these orbs and there is really a lot of info out there on them. Probally wouldn't hurt if you checked up on them and did a bit of research. ^_^''

Sometimes I think pics are just messed up by light refractions,whatever...And then i eat the toothpaste. But sometimes I think they caused by something "else", And then i eat the toothpaste. Pardon the toothpaste thing it's a dare...And then i eat the toothpaste. Anyway, I have several that always seem to happen under special circumstances, And then i eat the toothpaste. This is one of my favorites, And then i eat the toothpaste. I don't know if you can tell on the computer screen, but it is almost like a hologram, And then i eat the toothpaste. The first thing I noticed was that the whole rainbow-y part looked like the outline of a giant angel, but upon closer inspection, you can see different faces inside it, even a Native Amercan Indian, And then i eat the toothpaste. And on the left side of the photo near the tree I saw the front form of an elephant and giraffe next to one another, And then i eat the toothpaste. And that's not just the toothpaste talking, And then i eat the toothpaste.

Most of the time it is something as simple as lighting or reflection off of the lense. There are times though that an orb really does show up in pictures. In my opinion they are spirits. Some are guardian spirits ,some are other kinds. I had a reoccuring orb in a picture once with a particular person. Different occasions ,different locations ,different seasons and yet an orb appeared near this person in almost all pictures that were taken. Our family deemed it a guardian spirit.

I've seen some very unusual pics like that (well with me anyways) but unless the whole orb is identical I think of it as just a flash, or if it only shows up once I ignore it. If I've had several taken in order with the same orb showing up in different spots; then I think it might be something.

I used to think that orbs were supernatural. However after watching that TV show Ghosthunters on Sci-fi, I am inclined to believe that its just light hitting dust a certain way. The way I figure it, if ghosts are invisible to the human eye, then theres no reason a camera would pick it up since it reacts to that same light as human eyes do. Therefore anything a normal camera picks up that we can't see, has got to be an illusion.

I've seen an orb with my naked eye a couple of years ago, it floated right next to me. I do get orb like balls of light in a lot of my piccys, but it is a digital camera so it could be just flecks of light from the atmosphere etc?

I know that you can get orbs with the non-digital cameras as well. I have picked up orbs from both types of cameras.

I do know, too, that many folks I know have seen these orbs of light with their naked eye.

I am personally one of those people who believe in the ghost photography, and I find it very interesting. Especially when you go to places that are known to be haunted, and you pick up many orbs in photos, and then taking photos somewhere else with the same camera and no orbs show up. Or you take two pictures of the same thing right at the same time, and one pic shows an orb or anomalie, and the next does not...

Many orbs are attributed to dust particles...but whatever they are my hubby ended up with one on his shoulder in our wedding picture..
