I never know what to say or how to go about this...

'lo there. My name is Avens. My mother's a Druid Priestess by the name of Domi O'Brien and she raised me as a Celtic Reconstructionist. I've actually stopped by this site before, and passed it by due to a large proportion of visable fluffs. But then Isaac (Bonewits) had a link on his website, and I figured if he was here it couldn't be all bad.

Anyway - I'm seventeen, I've been a practicing Druid for years and began preparation for initiation and eventual ordination when I was about nine years old - neither has happened yet, as I'm in no rush, (I'm supposed to fulfill 9 years of training, anyway) and still trying to justify my religious beliefs with my study of philosophy which has led me to agnostic conclusions.

I'm actively involved in local politics here in New Hampshire - and I'm presently working on my BA in Political Science. I started college early thanks to homeschooling.

Aside from that - I love making music, my biggest influences are Fiona Apple, Tori Amos, Bjork, and A Perfect Circle... I love to read, though I haven't had as much time now, I love Charles deLint and various books by other authors... I even have a bit of a weakness for Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings - they're just wonderful fantasy stories.

So, I'm a philosophical polisci nerd with fandoms and a legitimate background in Druidism. I'm familiar with Celtic and Norse rituals, a bit of Irish Gaelic, and I make good energy shields. Let's see if I like it here, and if you like me. :-)
