Hellenic Pyanepsion/Oskophorion Celebration
Presented by Demos Delphinios at Betwixt & Between
Pyanepsion (pya NEP syon) -- A festival in honor of Apollon
Oskophorion (oh skoh FOR yon) -- A festival in honor of Dionysus
Demos Delphinios will conduct a ceremony to celebrate these
festivals in honor of its two patrons. All members of the
community are invited to join us at Betwixt and Between as we
conduct our first public ritual.
As part of the celebration, there will be an "Agon" or sacred
competition. In honor of the patron gods of music and of theater,
the form will be performance: music, poetry, dramatic monologue.
The subject matter is open, but compositions in honor of Apollon or
Dionysus are especially appropriate.
Entries should be no more than 5 minutes in length, and do not
have to be original compositions.
The winner will be determined by consensus among the people
attending the festival, so entertainment value is important!
The prize for the winner is honor among your fellows and before
the gods, and a wreath to wear in recognition.
We do ask that everyone who comes enter the sacred space and
participate in the ceremony -- no "spectators" please!
Ritual is free to all as traditional at B&B

Betwixt & Between is proud to bring you a celebration of the
last gasp of Summer. Fall has come early this year with cooling
rains and tender breezes. Help us celebrate the last warm
evenings of summer in grand style with a Toga party! Wear your
craziest or most classic sheet: plaid, polkadot, 70's floral, or
crisp white are all in order for this dance your sandals off kind
of evening. It's the perfect cap to a wonderful day of feasting,
competition, and ritual!
