Size

Sorry to be such a dim-bulb, but are tarot decks the same size as regular playing cards? And is there a standard size for a deck of tarot cards, like for playing cards?

The ones I've had have always been a little longer than a deck of normal playing cards. But I've seen tarot cards that were square and tarot cards that were about the size of of my whole hand (approx 3"x7.5")

Tarot decks come in many shapes and sizes. I've even seen one with round cards. It's mainly a personal preference and/or what cards appeal.

And, GG has some that are so tiny you can hardly make out the print. Mostly, the ones I have are close to a deck of cards...just longer..

I believe "conventional" decks are longer and slightly wider than playing cards, but now that tarot decks are now more like works of art and have more and more artistic and eclectic flavors to them, they vary in size.

Thanks for all the replies, folks! I certainly appreciate them, and you. I am thinking about offering my covered boxes as tarot boxes, but wasn't sure about the size. Now I guess I can just state the inside dimensions and let folks decide if they have a deck that would fit.
