Thanks, the_poetic_one. :) There are already one or two threads about RavenWolf's work floating around here. :)

Were you looking for a place to buy books or herbs? For herbs you might check out the Green Room forum; they might be able to help more, and for books there are several online stores you can purchase from:

Since you live in the UK (I'm US) I'm not sure what shipping costs or limitations are, but you might want to check them out. :)

Welcome to MW, btw. :)

Hi & Welcome to Mysticwicks! You might want to check out the Green Room too. Especially if you're interested in herbs or growing your own. We have a few members from the UK here too. If you have any questions, just ask away.

Some books can tell you how to make things. Personally I find that most gratifying. Some people create their tools out of things from around the house or yard, or things you find. They cleanse them of their mundane use and charge them to be used as magickal. Do they have second hand stores or sales in the UK? You can find things there. Never assume that getting something from a store that specializes in magickal items makes something more magickal... If that's what you mean when you say you are having trouble finding things.

That is so true, LunarMist. The tools are just tools...it's what you make of it that counts. For example, my cup is a small lopsided clay cup that my son made me when he was 5. It's really, really lopsided! :p To me, it's more powerful than any crystal goblet.

Welcome the_poetic_one :) I am also in Newcastle. It depends on what you want to buy. A lot of books can be bought in Waterstones. As for candles, oils, incense and gemstones they can be found in places such as Elula (near Haymarket metro), Evolution (near Monument) and Dances with Unicorns (in the Green Market). Dances with Unicorns also has pagan publications such as Pagan Dawn, as well as tarot cards and various other things. As for herbs, I've jsut started using them & am looking to grow my own. For basic, beginners stuff I've found Homebase great & also Tesco (believe it or not) do herbs that have already started growning & just need transplanting.

Hope this all helps. If you want any more information let me know & I'll see if there is anything else I can dig up.

Brightest Blessings

To be honest, I have little clue about any groups that exist in Newcastle, as I work as a solitary at the moment. There is one online group, that meet up about once a month (I think). The address is:
I'm a member there (although I don't post as often as I should!) and they are a very friendly bunch. Some of them will no doubt no more about any other groups/covens in the area.
