Hi I was just wondering if anyone knows how/where I can get Reiki attunement on the internet that won't cost alot of money. I would love to get to the master level and I'm not sure what is a scam and what's not.
Thanks and blessings,
Jenn

Reiki attunement *over* the internet or are you looking ofr a reputable teacher? I can't help you with the first, but try www.reiki.org for a list of teachers.

I can teach long distance, but I don't do it very often. But you have to be committed to learning and doing on your own. You just can't get an attunment and go on your merry way and expect it to work.
That said--my prices are on my website which is in my sig. line. If you're interested and committed--you're welcome to PM me. That said--there has to be a minimum of 21 days between Level 1 and Level 2 and six months between L2 and L3, (I truly prefer a year, but 6 months is acceptable.) I think it takes a minimum of that long to get used to the changes that the energy you'll be working with will be making. I've seen wayyyyy too many people get to Master too quickly and 1) burn out because of the energy changing so quickly 2) never touch Reiki again.
I've been a Teaching Reiki Master for over 10 years now. I do believe that Internet attunments CAN work, but you HAVE to be committed to the work on your end.
JMO and YMMV,
Elise

I've gotten long distance attunements and they work, but like Pearls59 said you have to be willing to study. I also believe that Reiki is not something to just go out and do. To be attuned and practicing it will change your life. It will always work for the highest good whether you think that was for the highest good or not. For example. I had this car who was overall dieing and I complained mentally everyday about it though it looked like a beaut from the outside. Well, first of all don't do that. Don't complain about it everyday. So, I got in an accident with it. I wasn't hurt but it sure as heck wasn't going to run again. This was after doing a reiki session. It was probably for the highest good in the end, but that was truly harsh.
I am just ready now for Masters. Level one and two required a lot of adjustment time in my life. I am glad for it, but at first I have to admit I thought why did I get this?

Thanks for the replies everyone. I don't want to rush into anything and I am fully prepared to allow adjustment time. I just feel that this is something that I am meant to learn. Hopefully in the end I will have what it takes to handle the energy.

If you like, I can send you a Level I Reiki/Shamballa attunement. I'll mail you all the course materials... and I'll answer all your questions and help you in any way I can. I'll do this in exchange for a donation of your choice (if you can afford that). You can donate after the attunement and you've experienced the energy so you know it's no scam. :) I'll send you both your Reiki lineage from Usui and Shamballa lineage from John Armitage. We need to get this energy out into the world!
I've heard the Shamballa energy called more 'gentle' than traditional Reiki; I've also heard it said that where Reiki is a stream, Shamballa is the whole river. My teacher says the Shamballa level 1 is equivalent to Reiki 2 -- I don't know if that's true, but it was a really powerful attunement. Definitely the most intense attunement I've had, and a wonderful experience.
I am Level 3 Shamballa (there are four levels). The third level allows me to attune others to Level 1. (At least, officially... I've successfully attuned people to Shamballa even before getting the Level 3).
You can learn a little bit about Shamballa/Reiki at www.mahatma.co.uk. The philosophy is NOT the same as traditional Reiki and I personally like it a lot better. The first rule of Shamballa: there are no rules. PM me if you're interested.
While I do think that it has changed me in ways, and given me some frustrating experiences that I don't fully understand... I feel it's worth it. Sometimes I feel very ungrounded or partially separated from my body even when I'm awake. I'm sure this is just a phase, and it's all good...

Hi , my names mark , i am a reiki master teacher , my advise to u would be not to get attuned over the net , as master ship is a very personal experience , u need to do in person . It is something very sacred and should not be done lightly. find a local reiki master, or wait till one arrives , as spirit will provide when u are ready. blessings mark

I wholeheartedly agree with Mark. This is too personal an exchange to attempt over the internet.
My first attunement was extremely intense and not at all an experience I would have wanted to try through the web. The 21 day cleansing was mind opening and mind boggling all at the same time and I am still processing all of the things I saw and felt during the attunement. My second attunement will not happen until I feel I have dealt with it all.
I waited a very long time for the right master to come into my life. Don't be in such a hurry, love. It's well worth waiting for.
