my scanner is possessed!

ack! help! my scanner is going bizeerk!

that really did freak me out. I was just sitting here, looking at various art, and the scanner flips out, and starts going on like it has a mind of its own. lights start flashing, it starts spitting out random images, it's making horrid sounds.

at first, I thought maybe there was a power surge, because it's pretty stormy outside. but my other printer did nothing, and my computer is still on. (all in the same outlet). Odd. no?

woah.. lol something *similar* happened to me just a while ago.. my webcam is always on. I decided to take some silly photos, while I was in the bathroom the webcam decided to take pics all on its own!.. when i came back from the bathroom there were pics of my room on the thing which could only be taken if the button on the cam was clicked! STRAAANGE

Haha. Sounds like you need to get a Macintosh : )

lets see... one day i set up my scanner, so i made sure everything was plugged in nice and tight on the back of my computer. the next morning i wake up and try to turn on my computer, and it wouldn't work... i checked the back, and most of the cords had been unplugged, some of them were plugged back in messily, with bent pins... it was a mess to straighten out, but its fine now....
speaking of electronics going crazy without power... you know those singing fish? well, we had one, sitting in its box, no batteries or anything in it, nobody touched it or anything, and it started singing.

My printer used to ring but it was just because the DSL was causing some disturbance and it needed a filter or whatever they are called.

My scanner, an Epson Perfection 1250, does it all the time. Not too bad during the day but a bit freaky at night when it's quiet LOL

You know what's odd is: none of my non-pagan friends ever seem to have such problems.
