Hi, i thought i would put down on thread my thoughts on grand sextiles, and as i have followed all different types of them, planet, asteroid, and angle mixtures, it gets very complicated, especially as mundane astrology is difficult by the fact that many astrologers use slightly different orbs.
I have some charts on attachment, and i will be honest if i think that a minority of astrologers would disagree over applying or separating aspects, yet the arguement will be small, no more than 10 seconds.
Before i start, i must say i have only just started looking for all major planet grand sextiles,
because of believing what i had heard on the web, which was they were a very rare planetary phenomena......yes they are rare but you dont have to wait hundreds of years to find one, in fact i think the average would be somewhere between ten and 30 years.
Im going to put on attachment two all planet grand sextiles and one that uses the M.C. as a point yet all the other points are major planets.
I have a theory that all planet grand sextiles are not particularly attached to a single event but denote an era, the flavour of the times that will follow, like a portal between two ages.
Grand sextiles that use asteroids or an angle can be focused on an event on earth at a location, yet the puzzle of why some of these can seem attached to an event that sparks global interest on the world stage and some pass by without incident, i dont know, a lot of astrology is still a mystery.
Firstly lets look at two all major planet grand sextiles that i think set the tone of events during 8 years of the 20th century.
1) 19th may 1937 ( ive just found this one) I have located this one for Berlin, Germany, but you must remember that obviously this pattern shows up over countless locations all over the world through time zones etc. etc.
The aspect orbs are tight but there may be a few astrologers that would argue that Jupiter sextile Saturn +05*09'sep is not allowed and only deserves a smaller orb of 5 degrees.
The majority of astrologers would use a six degree orb, i really am not going to argue over 9 seconds with the massive amount of power the all major planet grand sextile holds,
you will have to make up your own minds, the chart is on attachment for your inspection.
I will leave the interpretation of the chart to you, we all have slightly different ideas, im more interested in the fact that this grand sextile is for want of a better word, contaminated by dissociate sign placement between Jupiter and Saturn, thus its power isnt in harmony.
In may 1937 and from then onward, the surge of world aggression between countries and victimisation of people of a different race slowly got out of control, that eventually lead to W.W.2.
Here is a summary of events from the summer of 1937 to the end of the year.
Summer 1937, Purges in USSR hit peak. Millions executed or sent to concentration camps.
35,000 army officers executed including more than one half of all generals. We tend to think that Hitler was the most infamous of all dictators, but in reality he was a baby compared to Stalin,who probably executed more of his own people, than the total casualties inflicted by world war 2.
Much of the damaged Chechen karma comes from this time, that is being released in our era by acts like the slaughter of school children, a few months back.
July 1937 Fighting breaks out near Marco Polo bridge near Peking in China. This provides Japan with a pretext to advance its troops. it soon occupies Peking and Tientsin, from now on Japan didnt sit on the fence, her aggression finally lead to involvement in the world war, that was 2 years away.
November 1937 Hossbach Conference occurs in which Hitler outlines plans for expansion and Germany's need for lebensraum.
December 1937 advancing Japanese forces capture Nanking and in the process killed, raped and brutalized hundred of thousands of Chinese.
I mention all this only for you to see that 1937 was a slippery slope that eventually let to a world war.
The second chart that i have put on attachment is the one displayed on the thread " a very rare chart". i dont think that many astrologers would dispute the orbs on this Grand sextile, they are all tight, the only loose one is an aspect off the Moon which all astrologers agree gets a bigger orb when separating anyway. (Moon sextile Mercury -05*44' sep)
Although many global events and conflicts were going on during this time, 07 February 1945, chart time 06:30am, most of the worlds energy and focus was centered on Berlin, so in way i think its the pointer to where the new age will begin. 07 Feb. denoted the last few months death spasm of the Third Reich, and on this day a statement was made by the leaders of the three western countries ( Churchill, Roosevelt and Stalin) The message was that plans for the final phase of the war against Germany had been made, and that there had been progress in talks over the new shape and future of Europe now that the war was nearly finished. (Yalta conference).
Never again did we have a world war in the twentienth century. I dont think that the 7th february 1945 planetary Grand Sextile denoted any event, but it was the Cosmos fanfare that the era of death and destruction was ending and showed the dawn of a new era that was soon to begin. As a closing word on the this period in history, as i said, im only voicing an opinion, and although understanding Grand Sextiles is a passion of mine, i have a lot of work ahead to get through before i can be reasonably sure of anything. Its not as if you can find lists of planetary grand sextiles on the web, i have searched and only found two mentioned, which was on John Mirehiel's Harmonic Concordance website, which i hope he doesnt mind if i give details here of the dates. ( Planet grand sextile with eclipse on 1st July 1852 New York, you should find it before 12pm ,even if you are using different
orbs, and 21st December 1449, New York approx early afternoon)
This last part is about lesser Grand Sextiles with 5 planets and M.C. point or a combination of asteroids and planets which i have found that some but not all appear to be attached to an event that sparks global interest. Although i wont be placing asteroid/planet events on thread at this time, as it only widens the arguements between astrologers.
The third chart on attachment has a Grand sextile involving M.C., Moon, Chiron(planetoid), Jupiter, Neptune, and Pluto and appeared off the coast of Valdivia, Los Lagos, Chile ( you can use the Valdivia fixing) exactly on settings 38*S05' 73*W34' It stayed in orb from approx. 14:49 till 15:24pm. At 15:11pm an event happened that had the force of approx a Million Hiroshima atomic bombs. It was the most powerful earthquake that we have known since we have had the instruments to record earthquake power exactly, which is over a hundred years. The event was The Great Chile 9.5 earthquake of 22nd May 1960 . time 15:11. I have posted a document on this but it had a mistake on the local time. Earthquake data that is produced has only the G.M.T. time and in this case was 19:11pm.

19:11 is without doubt the correct (G.M.T.) time which makes the local time 15:11pm
Im only explaining this because you may find the document which states that the local time was 14:11. This mistake was probably due to fact that whoever calcalated the 14:11 time must have been using Atlantic summer time and subtracted 5 instead of 4 hours.
But Chile is south of the Equator, and therefore it was winter standard time for them.
Thankfully The Chile earthquake didnt generate as many casulties as sadly the Indonesian one, because of the tidal wave alert system that operates in the Pacific.
