You will need a straw broom.
Soak the broom in water and seasalt (or real seawater) if it is near overnight under a full moon. Let dry.
Sweep your room from all four corners with this chant (sing)...
"Broom Broom, Clean my room. Bring good luck with this happy tune!"
It makes sweeping so much more enjoyable!
When the broom has worn down decorate with old clothing amulets scarves hats or what have you. Place behind the front door for blessings for all who enter.
It is my favorite and actually gave a worn dressed up broom as a gift when I moved across country.
