The Gospel of Jesus Christ http://counter.digits.com/wc/-b/ffffff/-f/ffffff/indexphp

Has anyone ever told you how simple it is to go to Heaven when Jesus returns or when this life is over?

Well here is the GOOD NEWS!

The gift of God is eternal life in Heaven. He gives the gift of salvation freely to all who ask, no matter how late in their lives nor how sinful they have been.

God says that all who accept the sacrifice of His sinless Son Jesus Christ as payment for their sins will spend eternity in Heaven, a place where there is no more death, sorrow, sickness and pain.

This passage in the Bible says, "For ALL HAVE SINNED, and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)

Let's see if you have ever "sinned." We will do so by looking briefly at the Ten Commandments. Have you ever told a lie? If you have, then you are a liar. Have you ever stolen something (value is irrelevant)? Then you are a thief. Jesus said if you look with lust, you have committed adultery in your heart. If you hate, then you have committed murder in your heart. Have you loved God above all else? Have you made a 'god' to suit yourself (having your own beliefs about God)? Have you used God's name to curse, kept the Sabbath holy, honored your parents, or been greedy? Judge yourself--have you broken the Ten Commandments? Knowing that God has seen your thought-life, and every deed done in darkness, will you be innocent or guilty on Judgment Day? You know you will be guilty. So, will you end up in heaven or hell? Don't look to God's "goodness" to save you from hell. If God is good, He will punish murderers, rapists, thieves and liars. He is so righteous, He will punish all sin.

The only thing you can do to be saved from His wrath, is to repent and put your faith in the Savior, Jesus Christ. When He died on the Cross, He took the punishment for our sins. He stepped into the Courtroom and paid the fine for us. Then He rose from the dead, defeating death.

The Bible also says, "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8 )

This passage explains how to be saved, "For if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9)

You can be saved right now and on your way to Heaven if you will open your heart to Jesus and pray the sinner's prayer out loud.

Sinner's Prayer

(Say out loud) "Jesus, I need You. I agree with You that I am a sinner. I believe You love me and want to save me. I believe that You bled and died on the cross to pay the penalty for my sins. I believe God raised You from the dead. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life."

If you prayed the prayer and meant it, God heard you and has come into you. He has saved you and has given you a new life, because you've been born again and your name is written in the lamb's book of life. You are now a born again believer and a Christian son or daughter of God and you will spend eternity in heaven. Welcome to the family of God.

Salvation is not a reward but a gift. The Bible says it this way, "For it is by GRACE you have been SAVED, through faith and this not from yourselves, it is the GIFT of God." (Ephesians 2:8 )

Jesus said, " ... and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out." (John 6:37)

Nothing in this world is more important than the redemption that only Jesus can give.

The Bible says, "In Him(Jesus) we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins..." (Ephesians 1:7)

If you haven't decided yet, please make the only wise decision and walk through this door of forgiveness before it's eternally too late. We don't know exactly when we will die, this is why it is so important to get saved today because you may die prematurely in a traffic accident, terrorist attack or something else before you get another chance.

The Bible speaks of two places that we will spend eternity, either Heaven or Hell (a place of eternal torment). Wouldn't it be great to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that no matter what happens from this day forward you are Heaven bound? Oh friend, it would be terrible to die and go to Hell when all you have to do is accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour.

How To Find A Good Church

Church attendance isn't mandatory for Christians to be saved because Jesus has already given us salvation. Christians should attend church so they can worship God, fellowship with other Christians and learn more about Jesus Christ and the Holy Bible. Answering the questions below with a yes will help you find a good church to attend. Answering no to a question will help you to avoid joining a cult or a false Christian group.

1. Does someone read from the Holy Bible during each service?
2. Do they teach that Jesus Christ is God and came to earth 2000 years ago?
3. Do they teach that Jesus Christ actually died and came back to life three days later?
4. Do they teach that accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour is the only way to Heaven?
5. Do you get a chance to praise and worship God?
6. Are they actively involved in helping people get saved?

Incase you missed it in the big header.... we're a PAGAN board. Most of us didn't come to our desicion lightly. You're welcome to share in the discussions here and post your own thoughts. But we do have one rule, and that is to repect everyone, including thier choice of religion.

Leave the bible-thumping at the door.

I am sure most of us can find out about Jesus if we chose to. But thanks anyway.

And I second what Valkie has said.

Well that was plain rude. I surely don't go to Christian boards proclaiming "We all came from the Goddess, and to Her we shall return". Please have some respect and do not try to convert us. If I wanted to become Christian, I'd go out seeking on my own. I wouldn't do it because someone came to a message board telling me to. But thank you for your concern. May the Goddess and the God watch over you always. Blessed Be!

Here is a Pagan site for you:

Let me know if you have ever converted someone. Did you know that Christianity is decreasing in number? Thats because people are waking up and seeing that Christianity is just a trap- that they do not need to take any of that ********

What if I don't want to go to heaven?

There are two presumptions, one pagan, and one Christian, that I really don't understand. And I don't mean everyone; just a few people.

The pagan presumption seems to be: Since I don't believe in hell, I can't be headed there, and my Christian friend should know that. Well, according to people who *do* believe in hell, you'll be going there, whether you believe in it or not. Especially if you don't.

The Christian presumption seems to be: If you hear that Jesus will save you if you accept him as your savior, you'll get as excited about that as I am! Well, how can someone get excited about it, if she doesn't believe that Jesus is Savior? First you need to give us a reason *to* accept Jesus as Savior. A real reason. Not one that already assumes we believe in Him, and not one that already assumes that the Bible is Truth. Just because you believe Jesus is Savior and the Bible is Truth, doesn't mean you're going to be able to convert others by quoting the Bible.

Anyway, maybe there's a psychological term for this... where a person makes assumptions about the other person's beliefs, or projects his own beliefs on the other person in some way...

No, Christianity isn't 'just a trap.' It can be a trap, but it's not for everyone. We're supposed to be respecting other traditions here.

Oh, and as of last year, Christianity was rapidly *increasing* in number. Not in the North America, not in Europe. But in places like South America and Africa. Worldwide, fundamentalist Christianity is the fastest growing religion.

Even if your religion was true- I'd look at Jesus in the face and tell him I do not accept him. I could never go to Heaven knowing their are people going to hell, which shows how "good" you are in your hearts.

Plus, I think that Jesus was dillusional, megolamaniac, and a schizophreniac. So how are you going to convert me when I wouldnt convert even if I found out that your way was true?

And the messiah is a Jewish concept, and you are not Jewish, stop playing around with others beliefs.

Hmmmm..... hun, I'm already Christian... Granted I'm probably not Christian in they way YOU want me to be... but that doesn't matter. I'm what GOD wants me to be. How do I know this? Because when I fight God my life gets screwy.... when I stop fighting God, life smooths out. Guess what? My life went *boom* when I decided to become ALL Christian in the "traditional" sense. When I finally realized that God is ALL and in ALL faiths, then things started getting ok again.

I'd like to respect it, but I just cant find any reason to. I'm sorry to seem like an ignorant hypocrite (in this thread), but I have my reasons.

Darling one, I understand that you're a bit "on fire" to go out & convert everyone, but please don't do it here.

You must realize that many many ppl have heard the Good News & have decided it's not for them, or they don't agree with how it was presented to them, or they (like myself) accepted it on the most basic level but disagree with 90% of the organized Christians out there & just want to be left alone to have intellectual/theological discussions about it without it becoming a crusade.

There are a lot of Christians on this board, and I can assure you that at one time or another we have all gotten invovled in discussions about religion/faith/etc with the non-Christians of every path. So, there's no need for you to climb to the top of the mount & preach.

I do appreciate that you just want everybody to have the opportunity to choose as you did. Just please remember that each person comes to their path in their own time, whatever that path may be.

Now that you've informed us all formally of the Good News, you can step down & join our discussions.

Realize that it's not the religion, it's the people. There are hypocrites, idiots and a**holes in every faith, as I found out the hard way when I converted TO Christianity and was ostracized by a large number of "open-minded" pagan friends.

HEY!! There are Christians on this board, Dude, so I'd caution you to remember our rule. Show a little respect, even if you don't agree.

Holy crow, taking it a bit far aren't you?? Yeah I agree that this person shouldn't be trying to convert us, but don't stomp on other people's beliefs (ESPECIALLY since there ARE Christian Pagans here). I know you have your own beliefs but please, try to consider that some people, even if they aren't Christian, DO believe that Jesus was a real person and that he tried to do good in his lifetime.
