View Full Version : Dropping conspiracy theories on y'all like bombs

Three planes fly in. Three buildings fall down. A cloud of asbestos
goes up. The fighters that are supposed to take them out come
up tragically short despite ample cel phone calls outlining the
Chretien called the act "cowardly." All I hear are brass balls
clanking. My sick admiration for the operation overfloweth.
Plotted using all the resources of the enemy and executed with
knives and boxcutters...it's pure economical, expedient genius.
But I can't shake my inbred suspicion that we're the rubes at a
magic show. We're stunned by the dazzle camouflage of the
crumbling towers. But what did the magician just palm behind
his back? All our civil rights? Doesn't matter. The hot heads and
the patriots are eager to smoke the tires and light the fires
before the culprits are even positively ID'd.
The more I watch CNN, the more I feel like a cow being herded
toward a gruesome inevitability. The focus is narrowing rapidly.
Already footage is disappearing from circulation. The flight voice
recorders "damaged" and under examination.
The good-versus-evil hogwash plentiful. The John Lennon songs
disappearing from the airwaves. The swarthy zealot Osama bin
Laden furnished to take the fall.
And so my paranoid mind meanders around to the inescapable
24-dollar question: Could the U.S. have had a hand in this attack
on America?
Well...duh! I've been plenty critical of American foreign policy in
the past and I sure don't intend to back down now.
Their corporations have plundered the cheap energy of the lands
they've occupied. Their foreign aid and arms packages have
enabled dozens of brutal dictators to massacre millions.
Their cruise missiles and 1,000 pound bombs have laid waste to
soccer fields, stuffed air raid shelters, the wrong embassies and
the depleted uranium cores of the munitions continue to deliver
long-lasting death wherever they detonate.
If they pull 5,000 bodies out of the World Trade Centre rubble,
will the scales ever balance with the (by some estimations) 1.5
million Iraqis who've died since the end of the Gulf War due to
the sanctions and regular air strikes?
You do the math. The end of the equation is the inspiration of
thousands of desparate young women and men to answer the
call for vengeance and fight the infidel with bombs and terror.
And that's just the shituation on the shurface. Let's not forget
that before Black Tuesday, we'd arrived at the sorry state where
a weak, dull-witted president was selected on a bogus whim of
the Extreme Court after one of the most corrupt elections of
all time.
The stock market tanks so deeply it's got the bends.
Citizens are filling the streets to protest the excesses of
globalization and the presidency has never been such an
illegitimate joke.
Then suddenly in the time it takes to steer a quad of jets off
course, colossal power has been conveyed on the twerp and his
puppetmasters to drop a fascist lock on all its enemies.
Five thousand corpses -- not much to pay for the consolidation
of sweet world domination in the hands of the New World Order.
Pretty neat, huh? If you're going to tell a lie, tell a whopper!
This is my gut feeling and it gets much worse. Every time I see
Dubya trying to appear resolute, I think "lamb to the slaughter."
How can I shake the premonition he was installed specifically to
take a bullet in the aftermath of Black September?
Numerous astrologers who've studied his chart are already
calling for the orange sauce. He's a dead duck. I made a $50 bet
that Dubya will be toast before the new year with mondo creepo
Dick Cheney ready to ooze into the headdress of the big Kahuna.
Goddess, I'd be happy to be wrong on this one. My one ray of
hope is the rising din of voices pleading for calm and reflection on
many decades of spiritually bankrupt foreign policy.
So I'll add mine to it.
"Waiiiiiiiiiiit, let's keep the sword in the scabbard until we follow
the money all the way back to its pitch black source!"

I'm naturally suspicious of government and all it's motives...
but I don't buy into any conspiracy theories in this case.

Political games are about money and power. If the US government had any involvement in this at all, I don't think their primary targets would be ones so important to both of those causes. A post office or airport would have got the public just as enraged.
I'm not saying that I trust Bush and all associated with him and his government not to take full advantage of this situation, but being opportunistic is a bipartisan activity.
Also, there is a part of him that is still human and bleeds like the rest of us. I know a great part of that died when he was sworn into office, but it is still there. I don't believe for one second that he's not truely affected emotionally.

I agree about the astrology. I have seen/heard the same things. I also think you have many valid points that cannot be ignored.
Since I was so criticized for bringing this up in another thread, I will stop here, but you know where I stand.

It isn't just the FBI bringing the evidence against the terrorist coalitions. Hell, they even found the GYM where the hijackers TRAINED in for months before the flights. They have PICTURES of them like at my gym where you slide your card and they verify you by the picture that comes up on your screen. They had people working at the gym saying "Yeah, they said they're only training for a few months, so I asked 'training for what' and they said they were training to be airline pilots"...

In addition, the airlines have come forward with records of these same people flying the same flights they hijacked several times before the 11th, over the course of a few months.

Finally, if it WERE a conspiracy, don't you think that bin Laden would have claimed responsibility right off the bat?

As much as you would love to blame every problem in the world on "Ol Shrubby and the Patriarchy :boing: :D :) :boing: ", the rest of us really don't see it!

Well that was a very useful and on topic response. No personally rude comments there at all.

Ok--(ready to get blasted but glad to hear others'views)

I really think our media has some screws loose. CNN being among those. Know why? I watched it last night and they didn't even know the total of the fatialities at the same time it was being scrolled across the bottom of my TV screen! Come on!!

And what was up with that crazy woamn posting every five minutes our presidient's location on Black Tuesday??? I wanted to stuff her mouth shut.

I am glad that the media is trying to keep us up to date but please they need to get their stuff straight. I have run across more info on my computer's news then the TV And its available 24 hrs. sooner. What's up with that?

Very important point. Sometimes personal opinion or need to express views before they even have a solid basis in fact become more important then exposing the real facts themselves. That can be a problem. How do you know what to believe anymore? Especially if you can't even trust the news on TV. I guess sometimes you just start thinking sources are wrong as soon as they get started talking.

Hi all!
I don't really think the gov't and big biz did this deal.I do think they'll take full advantage though.
But I'm not sure about bin Laden being the big enemy.I haven't seen enough proof.I've seen lots of circumstantial evidence, but nothing to directly link the guy to it.Prez has said he'll show evidence to the world to convince our allies this is the guy,but I haven't seen it yet.I'm always skeptical when our government tries to pick one guy and say "He's the devil!"We Americans like our enemies personalized,we like a face to hate, and I think they're going to give us one, whether it's true or not.
Peace and Love
