"I can't get over this. I'm going to have to get a new job. I have a daughter to support, but I'm too scared to go out driving at night," he said.
Lek's experiences are by no means unique.
Other apparitions which have been reported include a foreign woman, whose screams echo through the night from the wreckage of a hotel that was particularly badly hit.
A security guard on the site has already left his job because he could not bear it anymore.
In Khao Lak, a local family say their telephone constantly rings through the day and night. When answered, the voices of friends and relatives cry out to be rescued from the flames of the crematorium.

Well, I can't say I'm suprised...
Post traumatic stress, or not. It doesn't suprise me one bit...

Special offerings of pizza were included for foreign 'spirits', and paper clothes and money were burned to help in the passage to the after world.

I belive that when so many lives are lost in such a matter that it is possiable for the spirits to remain. It was just so unexpected that it seems like there was no time to accept what happened. What if the people who died are lost and confussed or not ready to leave this place. If friends and loved ones asked for help from thier Gods and Goddesses to make the way clear to help them leave this place and go onto the next part of their jounery. I wonder if that would help? It's hard to say in such a case but, I hope that all the souls who are still here find their way to peace and are able to move on. May the God and Goddess be with all who are involed with tis and any tradegy

I read that one of the cab drivers experienced a paranormal. He picked up these tourists and by the time he dropped them off to the destination (airport) they disappeared.

Isn't it funny that the psychiatrist automatically tried to explain all of these ghosts away as mental probs steming from the shock of the disaster?

Well I think we expected them to explain it scientifically. As much as I beleive that this IS paranormal activity I wonder if it might be best to just let the scientists explain it away. These people have been through so much already and if some of them find comfort in the thought that it's just stress then I think thats ok. For the most part Im sure anyone who has experienced anything even remotely ghostly will absolutely beleive what they saw. If there was no explanation at all and just rampant ghost stories that could cause a bit of hysteria...this certainly would'nt be good at a time when people need to keep thier wits about them.
It's so sad that these souls were lost so tragically and had no idea because of the swiftness of it all...I hope they eventually can all move on..

I can believe it... when people die in a state of shock and terror so great as this their spirits could very well be imprinted in time... even while their souls continue to heaven/riencarnation/whatever
