I checked boxes, statues, and other. Other being plaques, chalices, wands, athames, rings and pendants, scrying balls and stands, as well as ornate glass bottles meant for storing herbs or essential oils.

Whatever happens to catch my eye when I first walk in... The New Age shop that I recently found I was attracted to their incense burners at first... then some of the jewelry and statue stuff... then their books and tarot cards... then their candles and lotions and then their crystals... everything! lol Couldn't get enough of the place... I love the energy in those places... I didn't want to leave... hehe In my favorite store back in my native home... it was the CD's... they focused on New Age CD's... and then the insence and crystals... =)

Let's see, I write most of the books I want to read. I have or make most of the tools I use. I buy candles wherever I find the ones I want...I am not much into Pagan art for the most part...I prefer gold jewelry and regular necklaces, rings, etc., but Tarot cards--I'm always looking for cool decks that I like the artwork on. Those, and crystals.

Candles + insense (not that I can use them now I've moved into my new place... damn renting in a fire-hazard. Oh well, at least it's cheap)

And wings. If I see a pair of wings, I just *have* to have them. I love wings. They are SUCH a turn on.

BOOKS!!!!!, incense and candles, and jewellery. Also, Tarot cards and if they have a decent range of crystals, herbs, etc. For less than absurdly ridiculous prices....

Sigh...I've never been in one IRL, but online, I always go for the Tarot, candles, herbs, books, and jewelry first.

If I ever found a Pagan shop IRL my poor husband would probably never get me out of it.

I voted "other."

I would have to say, just the whole ambiance and atmosphere, the feel of the place. The helpfulness and friendliness of the staff, that kind of thing. Of course, prices do help too... :D low ones, that is!

There's a great one near here called Crystal Channels... I always seem to come away with the jewelry piece I want or the crystal I like... and they sell things like sea salts and fresh lavender, a good sized bag, only a dollar.

This is going to sound really depressing, but I don't know.

There are several Pagan stores in my area. I love them, love hanging out in them. Every time I go in, I look at the books, I look at the jewelry; sometimes I buy something but usually I don't. I'm not much for "stuff," and neither is my tradition. And yet, every time I walk into the store, I feel like I'm looking for something very specific, and every time I walk out, whether or not I bought anything, I feel like I've missed it.

I go through this at Pagan Pride, too: every year I budget $50 to buy some spectacular thing that I'm absolutely convinced I'll find there. What did I buy in '03? A postcard with a lovely drawing of a tree throwing through a labyrinth. What did I buy in '04? Chopsticks. Gorgeous, hand-carved chopsticks, but still. Chopsticks.

I don't know. I keep looking, and I figure I'll know it when I see it - whatever it is!

When looking for a decent Pagan store, I watch out for a lack of fluffiness and an abundance of good vibes.

Books are always interesing to me, especially the ones about Pagan philosophy.
Incence is always a favourite as well.

And as of recently everything concerning dragons and fairies have been very appealing to me.

I'm mostly interested in the books and statues. The statues must be either faeries, angels or Egyptian (African) in nature.:elf: Gods and Goddesses are good too, but I'd probably lean more towards Goddesses

Incense, Candles, Books, but mostly stones and things with stones in them. I am also attracted to herbs and anything herbal (back to incense and candles sometimes). I am a very Earth-element person.
I also get attracted to anything with artwork involved, including statues and boxes. I am even more interested in artsy things that are reproductions of historical things since I am also an historical reenactor and love historical stuff (oh, and I'm an artist).
