i read that one of you was a marine biologist, and i thought 'wow that's so neat' so i thought i'd share this little bit about whales! no, not that british countryside wales from the movie 'waking ned devine' but the whales that swim in the ocean! did you know they used to be land-walkers?

I LOOVE this stuff........ I just recently attended "Coast Day" and picked up the MArine Wildlife Calendar from the OCEAN CONSERVANCY booth..... and it has some really breathtaking pictures in it ..........and this one came to mind after reading your post......

very cool eh. If you look at the bones in a whale you can see the radius, ulna, tarsles and metatarsles.

In fact take a look at a bats wing structure...agin all the same bones but just different proportions.

There ya go there is a little piece of evidence to suggust a common liniage through evolution
