hey there -
i need to do some spellwork to find a lost scarf, hat, skirt, and notebook in which i recorded tarot correspondences... i've been searching for months, but to no avail. i can't think of where else they'd be but in the house somewhere, so...
i was wondering if anyone's got any insight on spells they've done for similar reasons? correspondences, incense, herbs, etc, would all be appreciated. if you've done spellwork for this purpose in the past, how successful were you?
thanks all! http://mysticwicks.com/images/smilies2/angel.gif

"Saint Anthony, Saint Anthony, please come around, something is lost and cannot be found."
Anthony is an equal opportunity saint. You do not have to be Catholic in order for him to work for you. Equal success has been obtained by lapsed Jews, athiests, and witches.

one other thing is if you work with hot/cold rather well, you can use this to find the item. but, you'll have to focus on one item at a time as if it is being illuminated with warmth. get that in your mind and have a bit of a warm feeling in your hands. then go throughout the house as if calling that item and i've used this and its worked. in rooms where the items aren't, you should get a cool/cold feeling.
hope that helps.

you know, that's fabulous. thanks so much. is that basically an energy-based technique...?

One I always use is dead simple. Take a fair-sized glass or mug, and leave it turned upside down on the highest shelf of your living space, with the intent of finding what you've lost. The spirits of your house will help you...and when you find your stuff, fill the glass or mug with something good to drink. Mine like beer, but yours might like something else.
Never fails, at least for me.

does this work with all items at once, or one at a time? :hearthear

i began using the hot/cold for energy raising and for simple healing. my high priestess is also teaching me to use it for shielding and will eventually incorporate it with more in deptch chakra work.
its a fun tool.
the first time i worked with it, i took an empty tea cup and held it cusped in the palms of my hands. in a type of meditation, i focused the energies...first, i visualized then felt as if i were holding a cup of hot tea. i then let this warmth flow throughout my body. a few days later i tried the same technique, but instead of having a hot cup of tea in my hands, i held a glass and thought of iced tea with lemon. i was doing this in my bedroom, and my dh came in there asking if i'd made lemonade.LOL he said the smell of lemons throughout the house was overwhelming.
but you have to be very careful working with these and knowing when to back off. i've had problems coming 'out' of cold...:( so i don't work with it much.

It works with whatever's missing. If you're missing all those things, keep them all in your mind clearly when you place the glass on the shelf.

If you are into fairy magic at all you could leave offerings to the gnomes. Ask them to help you look for your items.

Magnets can be used to "pull" the objects out into the open..

What do gnomes like as offerings? I could use their help too.

when i lose anything i ask the goddess to help me find what is lost.. shortly after i ask i get a strong urge to look somewhere and thats usually where the lost item is.. its simple but it works for me..

I would heartily recommend pendulum dowsing to find lost objects - I've been having a great deal of success with this lately, it even enabled me to diagnose a computer fault & fix it.
Get / Make a pendulum (anything will do - I use a pocket watch on a chain). Swing it slowly in a north / south line, and say "Yes" - you will then get the direction of circle (clock-wise, anti-clockwise) that is a yes, then do the same for "no" - it will probably be in the other direction. Then phrase your questions so that you will get yes/no answers.
"Is what I'm looking for downstairs", then try for a specific room, direction or place in that room etc.
Most efficacious!
