...My birthday is coming up. Not just any day, Valentine's Day. I will be turning 39. All my hopes to have not just a romantic birthday, but a relationship, don't seem to be coming to fruition yet... & I want to have a child before it's too late. So I'm eating too much & here in my isolated little life, I have no-one to really talk to... Hope it doesn't seem silly of me.

People find love at all ages, if you need it it will come.

Are you a very social person? Maybe join some groups or go out a bit more and meet people.

Doesn't seem trivial at all. I was there too. I met my hubby when I was 33. And at that point, I had given up on the whole relationship thing. I guess I'm a true believer in that ol' saying "It will happen when the time is right". And as corny as that sounds, it was really true in my case. When I tried to "find" a relationship, they turned to poop fairly quickly. So hang in there. Maybe you could hang out with some other single friends or family on that day. Rent a bunch of comedies and try to take your mind off of it. Give your friend an "anti-Valentine's card". Hope this helps. :hugz:

Not silly at all. Que sera, sera, and all that. Everything happens, when it happens, for a reason. And as for socializing ... you're doing that right here. Try www.meetup.com and see if you can find a witches meetup group in your area. I have just started to run one in Central Mass and am hoping that a meeting will take place in the very near future :)

Oh, I don't think that's silly at all! I know I'm not at the same place in life as you might be (I'm only 23 and married) But I can relate to the feeling of helplessness when it comes to relationships!

I am a firm believer in the fact that there is someone for everyone... and that miracles do happen.

Wow, thanx so much to all of you here, I SOOOOOOOOOOOO appreciate the outpourings!!! I *do* have an interested 48-year-old who says that "a child would be a precious gift"; 10 years ago, he lost his only daughter to a drunk driver. This really moves me - & plus, he sends me poetry & *very* funny e-mails... & he's Pagan into the bargain! :D MY big disadvantage in life is that I have no car... (sigh)
