So many people take advantage of the basic freedom of healthy life. I know I did, until I got sick. And now I cherish that freedom again! I am reminded of just how joyous it is to be able to go out!!! I got to go to the post office today. While that may seem like a normal everyday thing for most people, it was HUGE for me. Beyond trips to the doctor I have not been able to go in public since early December. And often the doctor came to me because of the danger of further infection. But now I am getting healthy again! And I can go out again! So cherish your health! It really, truly is a gift from the Divine!

These last couple weeks have been ruff here, my daughter got pnomeia (sp lol), shes 6 with a heart condition so I was really worried. Then I came down with what the doctor thinks was menigitis...then broncitis and the flu. Then on Joees (daughter) last day of antibiotics she spiked a fever and now has the flu... Its been one of the worst 2 weeks of my life, I know its nothing compared to what your going through...but it was enough for me to quit smoking...the lung exrays, asma inhallers, not being able to breath...quite frankly scared the shit out of me, or maybe scared the life back into me is the right wording, Im determined to eat healthier, exercise, the whole works, Im changing my life style.

I think that maybe some of us are just so stubborn the Universe has to give us a whomping kick in the rear to get our attention. I know She has mine now!!!

I know exactly what you mean about people taking their health for granted. While I am (fortunately) quite healthy, I have only really come to appreciate that fact since someone very close to me became very sick. Things which are no big deal for me are now becoming increasingly difficult for this person...and it does make me realise how grateful I should be for what I have.
